I saw this bc I was hosting a group, otherwise, I never would’ve seen it. Willingly seeing horror isn’t my jam...
If this had come out in the first year of Trump’s presidency, it would spurred major actions. However, the ‘working class’ oppressed in the movie are being lifted up by ‘Trump’s America’, that’s why Hollywood didn’t get the reaction/mayhem they believed it would result in. Instead, it enforced how important a middle class, and the opportunity to rise in ranks through work ethic, is in a person’s life. It also spoke to the importance of a community impacting mental health.
I doubt the elite anticipated this response to the film, but Trump’s done more to help the average American than any politician, rep or dem, in decades. So, instead of directing their anger towards the current leadership, they’re questioning the leadership over the course of their lives and weighing promises against results.
I loathed Trump. I personally have, and sent others, the ‘make Donald Drmupf again’ hats. I hated Hillary (if you supported her, bless your psyche over the next year), so I was never going to vote for the witch. However, I never wanted Trump as a President....wow, have I been surprised. Which has shaken people that have been in a promise coma, and excused no results, for decades. Without opportunity and structure, the US would be Gotham. Gotham is the US on socialism.
(AOC is controlled opposition to help ruin the dem party, I see no other explanation. Thank you, and goodnight.)
