I think he was a much more functioning version of someone like Daniel Johnston or Wesley Willis. Basically... A highly prolific music, not entirely dealing with a full deck. Made some great records though. I started looking into his stuff, albeit casually, after finding out that he wrote at least part of MC5's "Starship".

No,I think,if memory serves, he came from Texas or somewhere like that. Definitely not from Saturn. His music was not for everyone and I wouldn't call it listenable.
