Well, it would be a great start for the moronic US citizenry to not vote in billionaire Illuminists talking about building walls and expanding the armed forces while plastering the nation with chemtrails and letting false flags and corporations run amok.

To be honest, the US is getting exactly what it deserves. I grieve for that mighty nation, the ideals it once stood for and the true patriots it still harbors.

Correct on all counts. A shame that the good Americans have to suffer for the antics of their right wing loonies. Those loonies are driven by either fear or love.

I am not sure which but see what is pushing the loonies.

It would take a huge attitude adjustment though. I get the impression (from online comment sections!) that in the US that the idea of your hard-earned dollars going to someone who hadn't worked so hard (whether because of illness or whatever) is utterly abhorrent to many people. Could be because as a a nation, there is so much emphasis on valuing rugged indivualism, working hard to achieve the American dream, etc.

I agree that an attitude adjustment is required.

Americans have to put caring for the poor and setting moral standards as a part of that American dream.

This link shows how easy it would be if we decided, with political will of course, on what our socio economic demographic pyramid should look like.

Did you hear the news that confirmed that Hillary Clinton rigged the Democratic Primary against Bernie Sanders to make him lose? He could have improved America and actually focused on helping people but he was deliberately discredited and blocked so he couldn't become president.

Since Hillary is just another part of the elite, it was probably the elite's plan to discredit Bernie since they would never allow a president that stops corruption or cares about the people. They wanted Hillary to go against Trump so we would be forced to choose between them and regardless of the outcome, we would have a president that would further their agenda.

Bernie would have likely pushed the rich into the type of trickle up program I envisage.

He would have likely implemented a free college program to begin the pay back to the next generation trend that would have us help our young instead of passing up debt.

We are presently ignoring our own duty to educate our children.

Well yes because someone mooching off the system and using one's hard-earned cash for poor people who don't use it for necessities will piss us off.

Socialism is a joke.
The old form, true. There was no freedom in the form of the democratic systems in place today.

The new form is not so bad in the way our free nations are using it. We have cherry picked the good and left out the bad.

One piece of the good is socialized medical care.

I recall when in my old home town people complaining that some welfare recipients were going to Bingos.

They really resented their money giving pleasure to the welfare recipients.

I though that quite cruel as they resented their tax money giving pleasure to otherwise dull and drag lives. Mine was a Christian area.

Human nature. Got to love it. Not.

Because the welfare system steals their fucking money. Thats why people are resentful. Its fine if it's used to give necessities to the poor, but not when it just being used for bingo or something like that. What don't you understand?

I understand that pleasures give value to life and those fortunate enough to be anble to give pleasure to others, via taxes and welfare, share in that pleasure.

What is it that you do not understand and why do you resent helping someone in poverty not be so miserable?

Thinking of --- Do unto others --- might show you your miserable ways.

I'm not resentful towards poor people IF THEY USE the welfare for basic needs. But if they just mooch off of it without working then we have a problem!

welfare in this country is overwhelmingly "in kind" benefits, meaning the overwhelming majoritt of the miniscule amount of your taxes rhat actually goes to helping the poor (on average less than 100$ per year) is spent on basic necessities with no option otherwise - housing food and meedical sometimes childcare but only if they are working. Very few peopke get any cash and if they do its $160/month per person limited to 5 years out of your entire lifetime. Thats enough to cover toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tampons, maybe bus tickets to get around.. so no need to worry the poor are plenty miserable even with your tax dollars.

Pleasure is a basic need from what I can see.

That is evidence by the number of people who suicide when they cannot find enough pleasure in life.

You are not living by the Golden Rule.
