There is some fake news coming from this but I have also seen firsthand some of the damage. It is almost all flooding and not so much knocked down trees, etc. However, there has been power outages out the wazoo and the big tell here is how grocery stores, walmarts, etc were emptied. I rode with a friend who has property on the NC coast and saw it with my own eyes. What was telling was how things would be via food and water if any disaster happened and how quickly people could clear out stores for food. And that happened in places where the Hurricane did not hit as well which I saw on the way to the coast. The coast of NC is flat as a pancake, some some cities were ravished by floods. There are highways in eastern NC shut down still and there is a major threat of disease via skeeters, farms being flooded and hog/chicken poop in it amongst other things with the standing water. It is a reminder that it would not take much to cause some serious stand still in the country. We went near a place called Lumberton which had over two feet of water in the whole town and there were snakes, etc swimming in the water. This also took a toll on animals. Have you ever seen a herd of deer swimming in a line....or a dog on a roof...
