I think
@Three Arrows Left has hit on a popular misconception within the conspiratorial community - that we (Christians that is) have to somehow force God’s hand into a specific geopolitical situation before the Rapture takes place and/or the Tribulation begins.
To be fair, the scenario talked of in Luke 21 and Matthew 24 does talk about a “beginning of sorrows” with ethnic groups rising against ethnic groups, climate chaos, wars (and rumours of them), hate and mistrust etc etc. These are all fairly non-specific and there have been times when they have been even more evident than now.
The “sudden destruction” perhaps precipitated by the Rapture will come as people are saying “peace and safety”. Again, people have said this before, so no specific apocalyptic assistance is being asked for of Christians here.
Even the rebuilding of a Third Temple is something that is out of people’s hands since it is involved at the heart of the delicate power balance with the Jordanian Waqf and the Israeli Knesset.
As many see a gap between the departure of the Church and the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week (which commences with the probable strengthening of an existing regional peace accord as per Daniel 9:27) there is little we can do about that either.
What Christians can do is to live their lives yielded to God’s will, and be brave enough to stand up in the face of opposition to declare the Gospel to those who will listen, and to lovingly warn, without superiority, those who (presently) will not.
