From whose doctrine come this unification movement, I wonder?

You are right, the Quran is not the gospel, but has changed the gospel of Christ as it denies His death, burial, and resurrection, among other inaccuracies surrounding Christ found within its writings.
It contains another gospel; hence, it is called accursed by Paul.
i'm a muslim, right?
Yet I claim to believe in the entire new testament, in the testimony of Paul etc.
Yet I fully believe in the Quran and fully believe in their cross compatibility.
what appears as a contradiction to you, isn't one to me.

the ideas you've been presented with concerning this topic from the muslim side and the subsequent reaction from the christian side, are a very small snapshot from a very very select group of people who's ideas have been magnified a million times over because of the age we live in and the dominant language in the world amongst many other reasons.
So as a result many more millions of muslims have been influenced and repeated the same ideas.
thousands watch these youtube videos of read books or websites on this subject..so it's difficult to alter their opinions once that glass is already full.

In truth, there is no official islamic position on this, there is no hadith that discusses Paul or the crucifixion.
There is only really verse 4:157 and this verse is not how it appears to be...which is so ironic given what it contains.
in fact i consider it one of the many wonders of the Quran.

it appears to say one thing, but it says something much different
it directly challenges perceptions on the topic of the crucifixion, whilst it, itself, alludes to our own perceptions contained in words.

This makes no sense to you..and i could explain how i got from point A to B on the topic but I don't think you're capable of ever appreciating where i'm coming from.

However one thing is for damn sure...the beliefs you hold, contradict the NT.
mine don't.

I have always gone down the trail with you as far as I could until I believed your theories (sorry, but this is how I think of them) were straying from Truth.
Yours and my understanding of each others faith is not fully accurate. I try to understand what you state-sometimes I do " get it," however I think your thoughts on Christ followers has been stunted. I am curious as to where you learned of Christianity. Your thoughts on it as stated in this forum do not sync with the experience of the believers on here. Since my relationship with the Father can never be fully related in words, you will never fully understand it.

The Quran never calls itself a gospel. Gospel=good news=the injeel..and the Quran clearly confirms the good news that was revealed through Jesus, nor does it claim to be a gospel.
Where do you get the idea that the Quran confirms the Good News aka the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Are you not familiar with what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is? The Quran is absolutely opposed to the Gospel as revealed in the Bible by Jesus Christ!

The Gospel is that all men are in Sin and come short of the Glory of God:

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

That because of our Sin we are not separated and at enmity with God:

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Is 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

That because of our Sin we now all face Death, Eternal Death and Separation from God:

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death

2 Thes 1:7 .... when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, .....
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

But here is the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! That while we were yet sinners, while we are yet enemies of God, Jesus came as the Son of God and died on the Cross, shed His Blood for our Redemption back to God!!!

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

That is the Gospel, we are Saved by Grace thru Faith in Christs redemptive work on the Cross and by His work alone!!

Now I would love to see how on earth you can state that the Quran confirms this, because it doesnt, it does the exact opposite and denies it! It even states that Jesus never died!!! How can there be a Gospel or Good News that we are reconciled back to God by Christs Blood and Death on the Cross if Christ never died?

What is the eternal hope in Christ?

1 Cor 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

Our hope is in Christ and the power of His and our coming Resurrections! If there is no death of Christ then there is no Resurrection and thus no hope, however Praise the Lord we know Christ died and shed His Blood for our Sins, and that He also Resurrected from the Grave and has given us the assurance that because He lives so shall we all who are in Him!!!

The Quran denies all of this, and the Quran specifically destroys the one path to God, the one way for anyone to be forgiven and restored back to God, which is by faith in Christ!!!

No the Quran doesnt confirm the Gospel...

. Paul changed the gospel of Christ, not the Quran. :D

How do Muslims, Jews, Christians view.... pretty much everything in terms of daily life?

All these religions have theory behind them and the theory is totally different but the practice is pretty much the same

all these religions are for the family, against abortion, against promiscuity, for and against pretty much the same stuff

they should be united on the basis of certain issues but within a polycentric framework where each has self-determination and can act on its theology without its theology being influenced by those outside the religion.

I'm not saying they should compromise in any way in their beliefs but I just think they should unite on a pragmatic basis to do things like protect the family and promote family values. On certain things, they agree. Christianity and Islam are closer than Islam and atheism or Christianity and atheism.

Once I looked up "polycentric", I got that.

@Lady : First Christian to call the Quran a gospel. o_O
 I did?
I think you AND Aspiring better go back and read my post.

Here is my statement:
the Quran contains ANOTHER gospel-please know that I am defining the term ANOTHER using the meaning of Gal. 1:8-9; therefore it (the strange, inaccurate, false Gospel contained in the Quran) is called accursed by Paul.

Well yeah Islam and Christianity are both theistic world views , atheism is the opposite.

Just pointing out the fact that you called it a gospel. I don't care how you interpret it - I follow the Word of God not the word of Paul.

A forum, Godlike Productions. (only)Who knows why I ended up there.
I am sure you are a seeker of truth, just like many of us on here are.

You should get to know @Red Sky at Morning. He has an interesting backstory. Not all who are now born again, bible-believing Christians here started that way. Many of us strayed from the path, and our loving Father brought us back to Himself. We have much history between all of us in other philosophies that "tickled our ears" for a season.
The thing is, God is true to His promise that He will be found when we seek Him with our whole hearts, we can say this with gratefulness and experience.
