she didn't threaten to stab anybody.

There was nothing wrong with what that woman said.

it was a metaphor. she was making a point. Apparently conservatives are too stupid to understand.

and really it is the right wing that are a bunch of snowflakes, the fact that they would mobilize to get somebody fired who was using a metaphorical comparison shows what a bunch of hypocritcal snowflakes they are. That is pathetic.

the study this guy promoted has been debunked, BY THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DID THE ORIGINAL STUDY.

https://www.pnas.org/content/117/3/1263

A recent PNAS article reports “no evidence of anti-Black or anti-Hispanic disparities across [fatal] shootings” by police officers (ref. 1, p. 15877).

These claims are misleading because the reported results apply only to a subset of victims and do not control for the fact that we would expect a higher number of White victims simply because the majority of US citizens are White.

To examine racial disparities in this group, we specified an alternative model that focused on young (age 20 y), unarmed male victims that showed no signs of mental health problems and were not suicidal in a county with equal proportions of Black and White citizens. The intercept of this model suggested that victims with these characteristics are 13.67 times more likely to be Black than White, 95% confidence interval = 6.65, 28.13 (https://osf.io/hm6f2/).

The stark contrast between the published finding and our finding contradicts Johnson et al.’s (1) claims that their results hold across subgroups of victims. Contrary to this claim, their data are entirely consistent with the public perception that young male victims of fatal use of force are disproportionally Black.

As someone stated

Colleges teach people HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
I said the education system should teach children and young adults how to think, not what to think. Today, the education system is permeated with left-wing ideology teaching children what to think while debilitating their cognitive potential.

Minnesota Governor who encouraged protests now asks for Federal aid

"Current estimates of the total damage exceed $500 million, the governor wrote, “making this the second most destructive incident of civil unrest in United States history after the 1992 Los Angeles riots.”

I would tell the Democrat Governor Tim Walz to pound sand. He encouraged the 'protesting' and allowed it to continue out of control for 4 weeks, exempted them from the strict stay-at-home and social distancing orders, and now he wants everyone else to pay for the destruction? Piss off with that nonsense. Trump offered help early on, and the governor refused. Consequences are part of real life.

Democrat state and city dollars should pay for what the democrat state and city leaders allowed to happen.

Whipping up the Indians to annoy trump and prove all Americans are against him..

You are on stolen land': Native American protesters face off with National Guard and police and at least 15 are arrested after blocking a road leading to Mount Rushmore ahead of Trump's Independence Day speech

Using your kid to be passive/aggressive and mad it didn’t work..poor kid.

Arkansas mom claims six-year-old daughter was kicked out of Christian daycare center for wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts after she was told they 'didn't agree' with the 'racist' tops

A Yale diploma can take you places and give you an advantage. The question here is: are black Yale alumni prepared for those changes? Is the powerful Skull & Bones society ready to acquiese to the demands aswell?
You make a good point, here, Karlysymon. I'm going to guess their answer would be a resounding No... we don't want to cancel Yale!

Woke up this morning, still quite angry about the fact the governor legalized explosive, airborne (rocket) fireworks for residents of the state. I have no problem with people firing them off on their own property, as long as only their own house will burn down, if they screw it up. I DO HAVE A PROBLEM when they are firing them off in my community (condos!) putting all buildings in their path at risk-- nevermind the noise, scaring the sh*t out of everyone's pets, and disturbing all the residents, who are now powerless to do a thing about it. To boot, they were likely trespassing-- we have a waterfront that appeals, apparently. Sucks for you! Bahaha!
The Governor's logic?
They're doing it anyway... may as well make it legal!
Really. Can we do the same for Heroin? How about Xanax... can we put it next to the Tic-Tacs in the candy aisle?

How about spousal abuse? I mean.. people are doing it anyway! The point: Satisfying the desires of a minority, to the detriment of others legal right to safety and peace in their homes, is wrong.
-.-
It brought to mind the famous statement from Lincoln (supposedly) ...

My right to swing my fist ends, where the other man's nose begins.

Your comment illustrates this sentiment, perfectly.

Certainly, Yale has cranked out some wretched individuals, giving them the power and license to do great damage, while enjoying great benefit to themselves. This isn't limited to politicians, either. That isn't to say all are wretches-- but the school's reach is long, extending from finance to the drama department.

Should all Yale students and alumni be penalized for the foundation on which the school is built because it is upsetting a minority? Who knows-- maybe they should, all things considered-- :D ... but in theory, no... probably not. The ethos that says it should, however, is becoming all too pervasive-- it is (imo) dangerous, and should not be permitted to gain a foothold-- not even in principle.

Is there a doctor in the house?
As I mentioned before in VC, I had a touch of Cov-19 some 6 weeks ago and it's cleared up now, but can any medic tell me if I'm now a "carrier" liable to infect people for the rest of my life?
Should I change my screen name to "Doomsday Man" or what?
Wow. Was it tested and confirmed?

Still kinda dickish
Putting your kid on the proverbial frontline, alone, is kind of low, imo. By the same token, outfitting your kid with any controversial political slogan is in poor taste--> MAGA, all lives matter, etc. would be just as gross.

Nah, I wasn't gasping for breath or anything so I just stayed home and rode it out til the symptoms went away-
I couldn't have gone out anyway because my red Dracula-eyes would have terrified people-

In fact I think the Count may have had it too, look-
