wasn't sure if I should post in the food destruction
thread but if it's better/ok to post this there I can move

Y'all Know I've been saying this for awhile and
will continue doing so,cause I care for Y'all and
would like to Help Y'all out if I am able to
food banks everywhere are struggling themselves
so when the actual shortages happen they will not
have the food supply to Help many if any Peoples
We all See the price hikes happening everywhere
shelves in most stores are getting emptier and emptier
supply chains are hitting all kinda snags
the farmers are/have been telling Us constantly that the
foods We're Seeing in stores on shelves are last yrs and
We all See/Hear the struggles of this yrs farmers,We will
start to feel their pain once the winter hits and going into 2023
a few things to try stocking on
can foods
always reach to the back of the row for the furthest away
dates of expiration also don't even listen to those dates as
a lot of the foods will stay Good well past,only reason they
put them dates is so Peoples will believe it's no Good and
throw em out and go buy new ones
sauces/veggies/potatoes/soups/fruits/meats/w/e Ya and
Your Loved ones like to eat if it happens that Ya can get it in
a canned grab it while Ya can
try watching old food videos on yt being opened yeah the
colour may change a bit with some the soup,fruits,w/e, might
get a thicker layer on the top scoop that off and eat it anyways,
fruits a lil off for colour taste it as I will betchya it's still Good
enough to eat specially if it's all there is to eat
pet food can't forget Our furry/feathered/scaled lil buddies
stock up what ya can dry/canned as they'll need to eat to
I guess Ya can use scraps of w/e Your eating many dont
like doing that though
flour/pancake mix/cake mixes/cookie mixes
is a few Great things to stock up on and I have noticed the
pricing on most of these specially at the dollar stores are still
relatively reasonable for a med-big bag even small bags flour
this can make Ya breads/pastas heck even spiced dumplings
is a meal when there is no other options with all those mixes
Ya would be surprised what Ya can mcguyver up with them
for a meal
baking soda/powder
Ya can substitute the powder for eggs I have done this as
I have Peoples in my family allergies to them so it's a great
substitution and soda comes in handy for lots too
rice/noodles/beans
lots and lots even the quick side dish packs are Good
they're quick and easy dishes that are quite filling also
packaged gravies/spices/soups/salt,pepper and w/e else
all Good to add to flour or other things it's always nice to have
ability to add some flavour to anything
dried out anything fruits/meats w/e
even though they have been dried out it's possible to rehydrate
them again or eat em dried out w/e if We're hungry enough who's
gonna complain or care by then food is food right
powdered milk/juices
anything that Ya just have to add water to is always a nice
option as sugar sounds like it maybe a rare commodity soon
enough
if there is anything like ketchups/BBQ etc.. sauces in general
that Ya cannot buy powdered versions of get a few of these to
stock Ya up specially if it's something Ya cannot live without lol
oatmeal/cereals
is another Good thing to have stocked as it's another thing
that Ya can eat little portions that will fill up Your stomach
faster
brown/sugar
if Ya need that sorta thing get it now
Jello/puddings
just cause Ya can usually get 4 for a buck at the
dollar store and most Children like em
seeds for growing food
Ya will be surprised by what will grow indoors inside
shallow plastic/metal/glass totes/lasagna dishes w/e
if it's around 3x2 feet it's Good enough to grow a few things
a lot can be grown using hydroponics no dirt needed,think
I did post a few videos around here on how cardboard materials
can be used to compost down to soil
if Ya cannot buy any seeds then take the ones out
of foods Ya eat or Ya can even get them out of the
dumpsters behind grocery stores
I can't think of anymore off the top of my head

Oh good, i was looking for a prepper thread but the one i found was from 2017 lol.
I would add that in general canned foods stay edible, LONG past their expiration dates. We're talking over a hundred years.
The thing to look out for is if the cans are dented, rusty or bulging out. If none of those things apply then the conditions inside are sterile and the food is still good.

-ziplock bags
-rope
-bakind soda
-hydrogen peroxide
-sewing kit
-high percentage alcohol for multiple uses
-bungie cords
-fishing line
-super glue
-lighters
-electrolytes for avoiding dehydration
-water filter
-cast iron pan (can be heated up by being left in the sun)
-aspirin/acetominaphen/childrens tylenol/decongestant
I know most people here dont trust allopathic medicine, but like this youtuber said, if you have these supplies you can help your community or barter even if you dont use it for yourself.

amazing when Ya See it opened and realize that tptb
outright lie about the exp dates eh Thanks for mentioning
the denting or rusting I forgot that in mine
it why it's always better to have many Peoples working
together on this sorta list thing

guns also learning to budget shop all my life to make a
little go a long way specially with a family of 5,is a Good
lesson to learn that bulk and no name products are the

medicine than anything Ya can get from a "dr" as
it won't be synthesized or have all the extras in it

Apparently in Scotland they're rationing all food items?
People in Scotland and the US are having trouble finding items such as rice, canned meat, pasta, protein powder, powdered milk. Ramen is now expensive.
Prices going up by the day.

Thats handy! Before, I would just put a straw or two of them tiny cocktail straws and pull as much air out as I could manually like that before sealing. It would be ALMOST airtight! So its ghetto... but it still worked pretty good lol
