This documentary made me switch all my cookware lol

I’m under the impression that the danger is when the cookware is scratched or heated. I’m sure that’s why the lady gave birth to a child with facial defects.

Honestly,I'm planning same. I see people in cooking groups defending the use of non-stick that it only releases toxic gases above a certain temperature (350° and above) but the coating wears out so quickly and I assume it is going into the food.

I think you’re right. It definitely leeches into the food plus there’s a ton of research which suggests forever chemicals like this stay in your body for life. Who knows what the long term side effects are? Better to be safe than sorry.

I’d say be careful as alternative non stick pans sometimes use phalates which are just as bad as PFOAs. I recently found out that these chemicals can also be found in our water supply so it’s very hard to avoid completely but we can always try and minimise our intake.

I think moog advised that copper pans were one of the safest alternatives.

What I am switched for curries is the cute clay pot called "Handi" we use in subcontinent.

Cast iron skillet develops a natural non-stick surface with time so it's a good option.

Stainless is safe in my understanding as well but not very durable option. I will look into copperware.
