Recently I photographed this at the "Tomb Raider" temple in Cambodia - these temples were built in the 900's

Perhaps! Or a rhino, or a pangolin, or a lizard, or a dragon/monster. Here's the carving with its fellows, for a bit of context.

As seen, none of the animal images are particularly realistic or identifiable, it's all pretty stylized. If that IS a depiction of a stegosaurus, which is pretty doubtful, it certainly isn't there because stegosaurus were alive in the 900's.

That is a Stegosaurus, and who's to say the other creatures did not exist. In the book of Enoch (found with the dead sea scrolls and authenticated as being written 150 bc to 70 ad) it talks about how the watchers taught the mixing of animal dna resulting in many 'mythological' creatures. There are many more examples where this came from, all over the world you have depictions of dinosaurs with people. Perhaps the most interesting is this one:

    Iguanodon

    Incorrectly drawn around 1825.
When the bones of Iguanodon were discovered in the early 1800's, scientists had a very poor idea of their appearance in life.

    Incorrectly drawn around 1895

By the late 1800's the conception had improved considerably.

    Correctly drawn today

Now we know much more. For example, ossified tendons in the tail indicate that the tail did not droop but stood out straight.

The clay figurine s from the Pre-classical Chupicuaro Culture (800 B.C. to 200 A.D.) found near Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. It seems obvious these people knew how Iguanodons appeared in life.

There were over 33 000 of these figurines of different dinosaurs sculpted correctly found in 1940, some of them were dug out UNDERNEATH foundations of building that were built before the 1800's. People tried to make it out as fake, and the whole thing was buried quick as it was damning evidence against evolution.

Read the history here, complete with old newspapers and books as sources...

Why is there over the whole world the same so called 'myths' about dragons and dragon slayers, every culture has them in their very old stories. Many old books talks about them as if they were an everyday sight. I've just seen so much evidence on this, it's not even funny any more how people try to cover it up.....

Because we have a genetic memory of when our more recent animal ancestors had to compete against and survive against giant reptiles/

Hello, all living life forms this is my first post! I'm Zoidberg, obviously. um.. I'm going to post stuff.. my opinion... woot.w.owot

Evolution did in fact happen; we evolved from other life forms on Earth. Our genetics and genes throughout development have changed, for us as humans to adapt in Planet Earth. Ultimately every living thing can trace its ancestry to a bacterium that lived billions of years ago. We started out as bacteria, then residing cave-water creatures, then cave animals, and later we expanded as creatures. Also, another fact to prove evolution is that, all humans develop a tail in the womb that eventually dissolves. We lost our tail because we evolved as the world changed around us. Evolution is indeed real, and we should thank it, for expanding our society and our human minds.

Yes, evolution happens. It's life's way to finding solutions to the problem of survival.

If we had genetic memory people would have had sort of a recollection of what you are talking about, and dreamt more about these things.... IMO it takes a lot of faith to believe in genetic memory. Unfortunately the whole evolution idea has so many holes in it that some scientists who stopped the nonsense of ignoring all the cracks in the theory and tried to actually resolve it found to their shock that Makro evolution cannot be true, and couldn't have happened...

In the end this is all about one thing only - we as humans want to do what we want, we do not like morality and rules that keep us healthy emotionally! And we will stop at nothing to ignore huge issues in our theories so that we can keep on doing what we want.

I can give you so many examples that evolution is a house of cards, but people will not look at it cause doing what they want is more important than the truth, it's just easier to believe many lies and to believe what you have been told than to pick up the books and study the evidence.....

What does evolution have to do with morality or doing whatever you want?

Evolution gives people an excuse to say there is no God, and if there is no God then there is really no such thing as rules or right and wrong, so people can basically just do what they want.

Well they are discovering new species and new fossils every day. So what I'm saying is the random odd lizard from a million years ago could of been found by our ancient ancestors. That's not really evidence against evolution though.

Modern geology and optics tell us how old the earth is, and how planets like it have to form. The process our planet had to go through to sustain life is ridiculous. And what the earliest Humans had to go through was probably a nightmare.

Maybe the Titans helped them. But I don't think they were 20 feet tall. The fallen angels looked like regular people.

When I started investigating evolution, it was really the beginning of me understanding the logical issues as applied to science. The first thing I needed to do was to get the straw man agruments off the table and be aware of the assumptions being made at each stage.

looking into it was rather like interviewing four witnesses in a crime drama. What I tried to do was to ask each perspective how they accounted for the evidence.

The witnesses in my little trial were undirected chance evolution, theistic evolution, alien of "life force" directed evolution and creationism.

I had to take the presuppositions on board first, rather like saying "given that no God exists and there is nothing beyond the physical" could this explanation work? Or "Given a God, is that outcome a logical possibility"....

I hope you get the idea.

The one thing from actually studying biological systems was the slight of hand used to pass off small, persistent changes, such as moth colour or beak size, providing survival advantage, as grounds for believing that greater leaps were equally likely (given time).

The mental picture of someone proving the ability to jump a stream with a short run up in no way proves that given more time they could jump over a lake if he tried all day!

There is so much more I could say, but another example will have to do:

Darwin noted that selection pressure and variation, followed by isolation, led to speciation (how many "ions" can we have!!).

So far, there is no dispute - a creationist looking at a life form such as a wolf can see that the genome of the wolf teems with variation possibilities for all the dog breeds out there, and more that may still appear. You may have difficulty to get a Great Dane and a Yorkshire Terrier to have puppies, but this says nothing about these variations becoming a new type of life altogether.

The "tree of life" drawn up of Evolution, and the "orchard of life" expected by Creation are two accounts that both incorporate the "survival of the fittest" observation.

    Evolutionists don't own these ideas!

Well baby primates are afraid of snakes without learning it from their mothers, and snakes are the most common dreamed of animal according to most studies.

You won't find a healthier morality than " An It harm none, do what ye will"

No, it's easier to believe an ancient book literally and give all responsibility to god.

Both in terms of truth and lies, there really is nothing new under the Sun. Looking at the world today it appears that the "Ancient Book" contains some remarkably up to date observations.

I very much like this, and I will be using this, what a great quote. Thanks for sharing.

I wrote at length about it, if you would like to know my experience you are free to read my testimony here:

    https://vigilantcitizenforums.com/threads/my-testimony.403/

In my testimony I speak of it many times, but if you ever want to make contact with the creator the first thing that must be done is to be under conviction of the Holy Spirit, and then you must truly accept that you are a Sinner apart from God due to your Sin. You must truly accept and believe and know that you are Lost and going to Hell. When this becomes a reality, when you are under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and you are put into a position to truly acknowledge that you are a Sinner, that you are destined for Hell, then you will be broken before God and at that moment is when you will truly cry out for Salvation from a broken and contrite heart.

God will not hear the prayers of sinners other than prayers for Repentance and Salvation.

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

If you are seeking God out of a desire to please another person, then you are not seeking him from a broken and contrite heart. I cant tell you when and how but I know for a fact if that day comes ( but I believe it definitely will come and has and does come for every person) when God begins to deal with your heart and reveal to you where you stand before Him ( which is as a Lost Sinner bound for Hell) then you will have the opportunity to cry out for Salvation. If you cry out at this time I assure you, you will have a testimony of how you have been contacted by God...

I pray that you have this opportunity soon and that you dont turn Him away when He comes to you. I hope you repent and cry out to God from a broken and contrite spirit and have a Born Again experience. Once you do you will know it and you will never deny Christ ever...

    @Daciple -

To be fair, the quote was stolen from Chuck Missler (not sure if it's his or from someone else).

On a personal note, it's good to have you back on the forum again...
