You have a sharp eye!
Many of these movies have aired quite recently on UK TV. Of course, one could argue that they're topical, but I think there may be worth in looking at the schedules and seeing just how often some of these films, as well as others of an apocalyptic nature are shown. Maybe there's the intention to program a particular scenario or response?
Tonight for instance, there's a movie called 'Viral'

There's also movies about AIDS as well as some that are loaded with esoteric references, 'Watchmen' 'The Da Vinci Code' 'Let Me In'.
Maybe that's worthy of a thread? I won't sidetrack this one however. Keep up the good work!
