The trailer for Harriet the movie has been released and british actress Cynthia Erivo will be playing her.
They already did black americans dirty by casting afro latina actress Zoe Saldana as Nina Simon (the prosthetic nose and fake tan was awful). Fact that they couldn't cast a black american to play such an important figure of their history is also insulting imo.
I wonder what black americans think of this casting choice and the whole trend in Hollywood abt casting british and african actors to play black american roles. Do you think that's interchangeable?
