This is a healthy thing. I just saw Four Flies on Grey Velvet, and the ending does it.

Ennio Morricone's music plays to a slow-motion death sequence. So beautiful, and so sad when you find out about the person is and their troubled life.

So even the death of a serial killer is sad.

I lost it at the end of Marley and me. I cried til I laughed, then I got sick & soiled my bed. It just wasn't right.

He does make some pretty good music. Here's one of my favorites from Exorcist II: The Heretic. Even if you hate the movie like most people do, I don't see how you can deny the music is good.
