Really? People are just leaving bodies there? And they're not covered by snow?

OK. I guess the not covered by snow is my biggest question mark.
I've watched some of the documentaries and movies on it, and it seems that when people are done, they're done. By that point, there's really no way to safely get them down so they succumb and are left behind...

Apparently, self-cannibalism is art now:confused:

We might have lab created human meat in grocery stores soon too. Weirder and weirder.

“What if human meat is grown? Could we overcome our taboo against cannibalism? An interesting test case for consequentialist morality versus “yuck reaction” absolutism...
This view extends even to those who have died, which is why we treat the deceased in a respectful manner and why desecrating the dead is considered to be immoral and is against the law — even in war.

Dawkins, of course, rejects the concept, considering it “speciesist,” e.g., discrimination against animals. He thinks we are just a collection of carbon molecules and certainly of no intrinsic value simply and merely because we are human.“

Someone should let him know about kuru or mad cow disease. Our world has fail-safes against cannibalism for a reason.
