I would like to know if there are wind farms nearby or how windy it was in the general area first.
I used to live along the coast a few hours from Melbourne. When a bad cold front was coming across, the wind gusts were very noisy at times.

It looks fairly enclosed so maybe noises were echoing? Out in nature it can be surprisingly noisy. Wikipedia say there is a highway and railway nearby so who knows.
In wide open spaces there aren't buildings or forests to help contain the noise.

My in-laws used to have an acreage right next to the highway. Their house was up in the hills but you could still hear the rumble of traffic constantly,

I agree it sounds different in open areas
I lived on a farm that didn't have anything for miles
either way but never once have I Heard anything make
these kinda sounds
