At least they are according to the godless depraved homosexual Stephen Fry..
In a recent edition of the 'QI' TV quiz show one of the questions was about butterflies and he called them "animals", you couldn't make it up.
Obviously he avoided using the word "creatures" because that would have implied God "created" them.
Below: Fry on the show; he was later succeeded by new host Sandi Toksvig (right), a self-confessed lesbian.
Anyway the whole show has always been full of childish lavatory "humour"-
PS- In fairness to Fry, he's not the only atheist TV presenter who uses the word "animal" instead of creature", i've even seen it used by them to describe fishes, and even the atheist David Attenborough slips it in whenever he can.
