Hi everyone... I'm back in the discussion after a bit of a break from basically everything. I've been busy with my job the past couple of weeks.
There's been a long-lasting rumor that Taehyung is autistic. I may be autistic but I'm no expert, and obviously I can't determine if someone actually is or isn't because I'd have no right to do that.
Doesn't mean I don't see the subtle things he does (blank expressions, obsession with strawberries, notices things no one else does, his social behavior in general is outside the norm), which point in the direction of being on the spectrum.
My purpose in bringing this up is that autism can be really hard on families, even if the kid who has it is high functioning. I speak from experience on that. Autism breeds a lot of resentment and/or sadness between siblings due to the way parents often let their kids with autism get away with anything. There's this gross assumption that kids with autism don't understand basic discipline, which is utterly ridiculous. Kids with autism tend to get more attention than their non-autistic siblings. In the lyrics, (
Stigma Translation), Tae mentions someone else being punished in his stead. Sounds like his siblings had a stricter upbringing than he did.
Tae could also be apologizing in relation to him and his siblings being raised by their grandparents. Not "I'm sorry" as in seeing himself as guilty for what they went through, but "I'm sorry" as in just sorry they had to go through it.
