Brazil was heavily socialist since the 2000's...cheezy video below but explains it.

Perhaps but this just isn't backlash, none of this would have been possible without the coup two years ago and with Lula being imprisoned. It's not just organic pushback to "socialism". I really think you are underestimating the severity of this situation.

"
It will only change, unfortunately, when, one day, we start a civil war here and do the work that the military regime did not do. Killing some 30,000, starting with FHC [then-president Fernando Henrique Cardoso], not kicking them out, killing! If some innocent people are going to die, fine, in any war innocents die.”

Media elites hate the new democratically elected president of Brazil (Brazil's Donald Trump as he is being called). Headlines like 'Fear and anger won the election in Brazil. It could happen here too from the left-leaning Guardian are already fear mongering.

Meanwhile, the market loves the pro-America, anti-corruption pro-growth platform. Brazil ETF EWZ is up 6% already. The butthurt media continues to send a false narrative with many drinking the kool-aid all too willingly. For the life of me, I cannot believe that some cannot see the propaganda which is rammed down their throat every day and night. Thankfully, some are waking up to the lies, corruption and mind control.

Socially liberal but fiscally conservative parties who've failed to address the underlying, dormant volcano like economic and social issues which plague their countries are getting the boot by the voters. It is clear the people of Brazil were fearful of turning into Venezuela which is on its knees in misery. Meanwhile, the media calls them Right Wing Nationalists/Nazi's just because they do not vote to the PC though control way of doing things, nevermind them just trying to save their country in an election where the winner won by 12%.

They will do to Bolsonaro what they do to Trump hoping you buy into that he is evil via media propaganda. Some of the falsehoods already out there is he will destroy the Amazon forest for gain. He will be labeled a pawn of the US - just watch. Brazil may fall anyhow with their bursting population, but they tried to go in a direction hoping for free trade. But yep, propaganda will flow in that they want far left globalism.

Profits over people, and any pretense you have of occupying the “ liquid center” is gone and you are just a right wing hack.

All those quotes by him are from the Intercept, far from media elites, the man is a straight up monster and it’s no surprise you support him.

I support the Brazil people and their ability to choose a leader and direction via an election. I support free will and free speech.

And you expect me to take the word of you, a hard left propagandist who is unemployed, had a needle hanging out of his arm from drug use and thinks surviving that gives them some sort of newfound rational thinking, that has been banned from this forum on more than one occasion, thrown about Satanic doctrine during that phase, inappropriate pictures and threats in the past and threatened board members? And then to ask forgiveness while not respecting others opinions all while claiming to have been drunk tells me you still have a lot of demons to battle before you can join society and not hate it. Honestly, I have had enough of your drivel.

Oh my god! It's even worse that I thought!

You know Colonel, (And I mean this in the sweetest nicest way, I really do) theres a saying in the bible about sweeping your own doorstep clean... You should read it. Get your life together, stop doing drugs, get clean and try to get a job if you can. If theres a reason for your druguse such as sickness, you can ask me for advice if you like, ADD or ADHD is a common reason behind druguse, usually caused by heavy metal toxicity and that can be fixed. Although you might not believe it, some actually want to help you bc I can tell you're not in a good spot in life.

However, if you do not want to quit but keep living the lifestyle you do now, I (and everyone else) cant help you.

It's your decision.

May I ask.. I dont know anything about Brazil except for its gangcrime and drugproblems. I've seen some pretty nasty videos on the crime, videos I'll never get out of my head. It's said to be the most violent country in the world, making the middle east look sweet. How did it get to this?
