The point is, Christians and Muslims have very different value systems. Common ground will not be established, because Islam is designed around poo-pooing the beliefs that are foundational to Christianity.

Due to the late arrival of Islam into the Middle East (Judaism and Christianity had made their mark on the region for hundreds and thousands of years) it was going to be a difficult journey trying to replace one religious system (ask the Catholic Church), but trying to replace two religious systems—when you do not have the power to destroy everyone in those systems—is just not going to work, no matter how many babies you have.

You all just saw with your own two eyes... another example of so-called "Muslims" committing shirk (polytheism) according to actual, basic Islamic standards. To say the prophet Muhammed (or anyone/thing other than the creator) is "perfect" is forbidden. To say he, or anyone has "never been wrong. Not once!" is more idol worship.
