Recently, leading Arabs from 15 nations met in London with the purpose of ending BDS efforts against their neighbour in the Middle East, Israel.

They say that years of hostilities with Israel has only hurt the Arab world, and kept the Palestinians down. They are part of a trend that I’ve written of on this board before, an economic and security realignment of the Middle East that includes Israel. Many leading Arabs, not just the ones who met this week, are openly calling for partnership with Israel for the benefit of all.

This ties in with the protests in Iran and Lebanon against the governments in those countries. Many, not all, but a lot, of the protesters understand that perpetual war against the Jews is costing money and lives that should used to build up their own nation, not destroy the nation of a people who have done nothing to them.

It’s exciting to observe these things happening, for a variety of reasons. Any massive political change in the Middle East will have implications for those who truly want peace, for those who just hate Israel, and for those who take a prophetic view of it all.
