Suggestion: I'd like to see VC do an article with a detailed lyrical analysis of this 5th Dimension song. I have been unable to find one online.
If you mean the astrology in the first couple of lines..Suggestion: I'd like to see VC do an article with a detailed lyrical analysis of this 5th Dimension song. I have been unable to find one online.
I think it's obviously an occult song. No question about that in my mind, but I'd like to read something by someone more knowledgeable than me on this that would go into a more detailed analysis. Then what do you think it means?
So basically, they just took a lot of actual astrological stuff, threw it together in a rhythm and rhyme scheme that sounded pleasant but was devoid of most factual basis, recoded and pressed that bad boy then called it macaroni? Sounds like it would fit right in w/today's "top hits" lolThe line when the moon is in the seventh house...
That happens regularly. every day. And you have to decide which house system to use
the line jupiter aligns with mars.
What sort of alignment? conjunct? square? trine? opposition?
They cycle through all these every couple of years.
Too many dates fulfil the conditions.
Yes I am an astrologer.
That is my detailed analysis.
The song is what it is.So basically, they just took a lot of actual astrological stuff, threw it together in a rhythm and rhyme scheme that sounded pleasant but was devoid of most factual basis, recoded and pressed that bad boy then called it macaroni? Except that the 5th Dimension had an overload of actual talent.
The article i posted is from a Christian POVActually, I was hoping for an article about this song on The Vigilant Citizen. I'm more interested in reading about the song from a Christian point of view.
I cant see these.
Astrology is a map of the heavens.Actually, I was hoping for an article about this song on The Vigilant Citizen. I'm more interested in reading about the song from a Christian point of view.
I'm not concerned with a map. The Vigilant Citizen calls out occultism from a biblical point of view, which is what I'm interested in.Astrology is a map of the heavens.
An astrological chart is the same wether its drawn up by a christian, an athiest, or an occultist.
The planets move the same regardless of what is believed.
Oh, ok. I thought you were interested in the astronomical lines in the song.I'm not concerned with a map. The Vigilant Citizen calls out occultism from a biblical point of view, which is what I'm interested in.
Yes, I'd be interested in a VC article about Hair too. I recently read a book called:Oh, ok. I thought you were interested in the astronomical lines in the song.
All the rest is mostly a mish mash of touchy feely new age stuff.
If VC were to do an article, it would be nice if he did one on the whole of Hair, how it portrays early christianity, and how this ties into whats happening today with the rise of satanism as a religion.
That would be very interesting.
Excellent!Yes, I'd be interested in a VC article about Hair too. I recently read a book called:
Out of India: A True Story about the New Age Movement by Caryl Matrisciana .
The author was raised in India and at the beginning of the book she talks about going to see "Hair". While she was there she realized how much "Hair" reminded her of the Hinduism of her native India. I also read about "Hair" in a book called
The Marxist Minstrels: A Handbook on Communist Subversion of Music.
