A controversial game allowing people to take up the role of Jesus Christ and even be crucified looks set to be released, despite a negative reaction from some Christians.
An advert claiming to show off gameplay for "I Am Jesus Christ" has appeared on gaming platform Steam.
The trailer shows a game playing the role of Jesus in a first person view, healing a woman in a scene from the New Testament.
Another depicts the user being able to conjour up fish from nothing.
In one of the more controversial scenes, gamers can see through the eyes of Jesus on the cross .
The game even promises a fight scene between Jesus and the devil in the desert.
The description reads: "I Am Jesus Christ is a realistic simulator game inspired by the stories from the New Testament of the Bible.
"Get into old times and follow the same path of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago.”
