Presumptuous people who practically DEMAND that one MUST participate in the "modern" world of techno- whatever. A simple example: my landscaper (who mows and weeds for me now that I am disabled) once said to me over the telephone, "er what's yer [smart phone label or whatever he called it] so I can text ya? ....." to which I replied honestly, "I don't have that, you'll just have to call me on this phone number, that's my land line, I can't receive your texts." And he was a bit aghast (as most people seem to be) that I don't do the "smart" phone. I have a telephone in my house. Call me on that landline and speak to me. That is your ONLY option (well, you can try the answering machine, but I don't think it works anymore. Or you may email me, IF you have my email, which I do not share except with my son, so I doubt that that will work for you unless my son shares it with you. HINT: he won't.)

No Facepage. No twit thing. No NOTHING. Near total Luddite. I think I once had a "myspace" thing some fifteen years ago, but that didn't last but a month or so. No GPS. I look at maps if I need to travel beyond a fifty mile radius. I have a few "spoof" email accounts that I can use if need be to log in / register / etc. to do things like this here BBS thing or to purchase something "on line".

Why? I was old when ARPANET became your INTERNET. I had a Compuserve account back in the late 1970s when Compuserve was a new kid on the block. I cruised (or "surfed" I think you call it now) the text-based "information highway" before it became the glorified television show you all call "The WEB" now. Its all a big joke, and the joke's on YOU.

All those links you all post? I don't click them.

Anyway, yeah, presumptuousness really gets my goat sometimes.

So the number of people telling the OP that they are, in fact, an idiot and probably going to at least break something and possibly die are seen as "negative". Only comments validating the moronic plan allowed lol

Ow. Ugly. Would be ashamed if I was overweight myself. I often saw Disney characters being used to mock trait of a character, or physic. Ex like Donald if you speak your mind, Picsou if you pay careful attention to the money your spending, Gaston if you like to flirt there and there, etc etc

100% sure that’s it will actually reenforce stereotypes on overweight people.
On social medias people may be sweet as honey, but in real life however….They are the bees that’s stole the honey !

Because back in the days of it’s coming out, when I was on Facebook and making images google search for topics that’s interested me back in the day, I saw LOAD of caricatures about topics or politics or even religion, or just those idiotic Facebook posts with shitty and all made up sentences of life hack/philosophy, and a lot of them used the blue pill and red pill imagery/metaphor in texte.

Until people started to say Matrix was overrated and shitty, that’s there was better films with others/similar philosophies to it, so Matrix hype started to die down until it’s became one of those famous forgotten-but-once-popular pieces of medias/fictions with a fairly huge hidden following/fandom kinda like, an example among many others in anime media, Evangelion.

But recently, once feminism FINALLY started to really annoy the hell out of people and even of some womens, it’s when extremes groupes such as Incel, pick up artists, mentalist, coach life etc, started to appear and use those terms in their shitty « teachings » and doctrines, therefore making the term once more very popular and mainstream, just like back in the days.

Nowadays, anybody can use this term for any most stupids and mundane topics of everyday life, like here I caricature, but «Redpill for when you go to take a shit next time in the WC » from subreddit Showerthoughts.

That’s being said, maybe just maybe Redpill and Bluepill metaphor themselve probably come NOT from Matrix.

How about a Freemason doctor guy from the 19th century? I’m not taunting some secrets knowledge of mine, I’m just saying because load of things come from the olds centuries to which the next generation use, and detourne from the old one that’s came before them, etc and the list go one.

Anyway the colors blue and red in every day life has always been used in complementary/in oppositions… So…

EDIT: And also in medias, such as animes. You would be surprised to see characters whom one is blue colored and the other red colored or one have blue hair the other red hair, and they are ennemies or in oppositions in arguments to whatever else happen in the story.

Hollywood makes a movie called The Matrix and now people think they are living in a Matrix. We are living on a planet somewhere in a solar system in a universe that Hollywood has nothing to do with. When did people start thinking that Hollywood was anything but a gigantic lie that has nothing to do with reality ?

I dunno lol and me neither I don’t like all the shitty purely new age theories of the like «We living in a simulation/dream/informatic programm/brain jar » bullshit

I dunno which one but I’m sure this kind of thinking, ideology have to do with an agenda, but which one? I would be tempted to say transhumanism.

When you think about it like this it all make sense.

Matrix is denunciating NOTHING. On the contrary, it’s just further propaganda of ideologies ! And that’s why it was popular! People love being lied to!
