Twas the Night Before NWO X-mas
Twas the night before X-mas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just numbed our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an MRAP assault vehicle with all of the gear.
With kevlar-vested driver, and the means to oppress,
I knew in a moment it was DHS.
More rapid than eagles their gunmen they came,
Loud screaming and shouting was part of their game!
"Now come out, come out wherever you are!
Or you’ll force us to shoot!” It was very bizarre!
As they stepped on the porch and beat down the wall…
They threatened us further with “death to you all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
A whirlwind began with a sound from to the sky.
The gunman all paused and looked up to see,
What the cause of this terrible commotion could be.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
Chopper skids hitting just like heavy hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney the first agent came with a bound.
He was dressed all in camo from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of weapons were strapped to his chest,
And he looked like a Nazi storm-trooper no less.
His eyes were so dark and his face was so scary!
His attire and demeanor made me very wary!
Then out of his droll little mouth did he say,
”Get down on your knees or I’ll blow you away”.
Then the butt of his gun hit me square in the teeth,
And he shot up the place, including the wreath.
He had a striped face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
To him and his cohorts it all seemed like fun,
And I cried when I saw them and what they had done!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know there was much more to dread.
Screaming and shouting they all went to work,
Destroying the place which they did with a smirk.
And when they were done they just marched out the door,
With my family in tow, leaving me on the floor!
T.H.E.Y. left all in ruins as I helplessly shrieked.
With no explanation for the havoc they wreaked.
But I heard them exclaim, ‘ere they drove out of sight,
"Happy X-mas to all, doesn’t might make us right?"
