The first season was a bit simpler as compared to the following seasons. They get a little more layered and complex the deeper you go. I just watch it mainly to see if they can pull it off or not. Some have been a bit of a mess (see:AHS: Roanoke), but the story is still in there. Season one did play a bigger role in the last season: Apocolypse as they brought it all back around in the end.

Here's Cody Fern aka The Antichrist in AHS: Apocolypse at The Golden Globes. Agender much? And what is even up with that outfit Ezra miller wore to the Paris debut of Fantastic Beasts?
