ac·ro·nym
ˈakrəˌnim/
noun
noun: acronym; plural noun: acronyms
  1. an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (like SCUBA- self contained underwater breathing aparatus) and LASER - Light Amplification by stimulating emission of radiation)

The rest are more like 'word scrambles' - but here are the few I got:
Aretha franklin george michael I knew you were waiting for me
Michael Jackson: Thriller
Wanna be startin something, .... the girl is mine, thriller, beat it, billy jean, .....pretty young thing, .....

I had a dream - MLK

I'm not too good at these, but that was fun - thanks Moog!

i wasnt sure what to call them.
in calc lecture, years ago, a friend and i would sit and do these with movies we liked when we werent taking turns sleeping while the other was on watch, taking notes from a russian professor who barely spoke english. the 730 lecture was too early. between the two of us, i think we had 5 pages of notes with his just being the answers to the equations on the board, so they were completely useless to me.
