What is the unforgivable sin exactly?
Denying Jesus as God and Savior?

What if someone does that unforgivable sin, but in later life, she/he repents?
Could she/he still be forgiven by God?

This is nice because it will, inadvertently, bring up other 'interesting' topics'.

"Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter” (Mark 3:28), but then He gives one exception:
“Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin”

Not to go on about 'Jesus is God' and all that, in
Christ's very own words, He is talking....blasphemy + Holyspirit. Way to punish someone for rejecting the pleadings of an entity that isn't a diety (yeah, you'll probably say His office is the same as that of a prophet). This unforgivable sin is incomprehensible unless the Spirit is divine. Just a thought that popped up...

What is it?
Pretty much the opposite of what Christians say. That is, committing "shirk" or associating partners with Almighty God.

It's the first Commandment that Moses brought from God, the Greatest commandment that Jesus spoke of, and the central Message of the Quran that God sent down to Muhammad for all of humanity. Almighty God says:

"Verily, God forgives not the sin of setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that. And whoever sets up partners in worship with God, has indeed strayed far from the path." (4:116)

"If you join others in worship with God, then surely all your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers." (39:65)

But if a person repents sincerely and dies as a true monotheist, then he will have Eternal Happiness. Pure Monotheism is described in this short chapter of Quran:

Say, "He is Allah (The God), [who is] One,
Allah (The God), the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born,
Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Could the person who commit unforgivable sin (i.e. the Pharisees in GotQuestions article) repent, so his "unforgivable sin" be able to be forgiven?

"Perhaps no other sin has caused greater uncertainty and anguish among Christians and has been more misunderstood
than has the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Some think that Jesus has in mind some specific sins that are particularly
grievous. We do well to remind ourselves, however, that all sins are heinous to God, even though some sins might have more drastic consequences than do others. But what did Jesus mean when He spoke about the unforgivable sin? Actually none of these texts say that this sin cannot be forgiven; just that it will not be forgiven. Let's remember: the work of the Holy Spirit is to lead
sinners to an awareness of their sin and to awaken in them the desire to accept Jesus, who alone forgives sin. Blasphemy
against the Holy Spirit,
therefore, must be understood as the DELIBERATE and PERSISTENT repudiation of Jesus' saving work. It occurs when an individual willfully and OBSTINATELY RESISTS the Spirit's
testimony to Christ and His salvation and grace. Jesus isn't talking about someone uttering a few
slanderous words. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is committed only in the context of an attitude of persistent
UNBELIEF and open hostility toward Jesus. Blaspheming the
Holy Spirit is not a single
episode; it is a determined way of life.

When the human heart is settled in stubborn opposition to God and, thus, consciously refuses to give Jesus His due, the
heart is hardened and fails to acknowledge the truth of the Holy Spirit's testimony to God's saving sacrifice in Jesus Christ.
This sin is beyond the possibility of forgiveness, not because God is powerless or unwilling to
forgive, but because the person is not able to recognize his/her sin. Therefore, he/she does not
accept forgiveness through Jesus. This attitude, of course, has eternal consequences."

2 Thessalonians 2:10
... They perish because they REFUSED to love the truth and so be saved."

BTW, "a large number of priests became obedient to the faith~Acts 6:7"

the unforgivable sin is related to the idea that Jesus is possessed of an unclean spirit/ a demon.

if the mark of the beast is unforgivable, then the mark of the beast is associated with affirming that Jesus is possessed by a demon (a la Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Beast who was cursed with a type of lycanthropy through 'no fault of his own'). (whether this mark is to have a positive or negative relation to this idea is unclear, ie one could take the mark as a rejection of Jesus because He is possessed by a demon; or worshiping Jesus and at the same time, saying that He is possessed by a demon.)

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin, to my knowledge.

What counts as blasphemy, largely depends of the Christian sect... Although most assume it's denying salvation until the end. Although exactally what that means also seems to be different from sect to sect.
