Support for Huge General Strike Building in France!

President Emmanuel Macron’s forced march of far-right economic reforms may produce France’s largest general strike since 1995.

"Despite widespread public opposition Macron is forcing through an unprecedented, universal, one-size-fits-all pension system, which includes a back-door raising of the retirement age by two years to 64.

This week teachers’ unions said they will join public transport workers, truckers, airlines, postal workers, civil servants and others in a coordinated strike on December 5th.

Many workers, including public transport, have already committed to an unlimited strike. If workers choose to strike for only one day, then few see how Macron could be prevented from enacting the pension rollback as his party has a large majority in Parliament."

How are these reforms 'far right', especially when everything Macron has done - and is doing - is far left?
Macron is a fraud. Everything I've looked at explains Macron labels himself a centrist. He made campaign promises to the left but reneged on many of his claims. The authentic labor/left view him as right-wing (big business, lowered taxes for the wealthy, tightened immigration, conservative support, etc.). I guess the label can depend on your own place in the political spectrum.

Anyways always positive to see communities mobilizing. The general strike in 1995 was the largest social movement in France since 1968. This could be big.

Also credit to the Yellow Vests. This week commemorates 1 year of active protest for economic justice.

Yellow vests transported to a camp. .Because they whistled President Macron during the July 14 parade (French Revolutionary Day).
Share!!!
I've been very sick so have missed this but that looks like a concentration camp a lá FEMA camps thats been discussed and showed on youtube since 2008.

Take a look:

Are they slowly starting to bring us there? These camps and the RFID chip as under ID 2020 go hand in hand since the ones that resfuses the chips are said to be taken there. Its obvious Macron-protesters wont let themselves be chipped so this seems about right.

Same thing in Sweden, they raised the retirement age here aswell despite protests. Its bc of the extreme migration our old now have to keep working to pay taxes for welfare the migrants can live off. NICE! really..reeaallly nice...

Macron is a globalist, which is left wing ideology. That is what the yellow vests are protesting.

It's laughable to claim the right is for lowered taxes for the wealthy when it's the left who are actively taxing everyone to death and working towards total global government power and control. Leftist elites are the rich in the ivory tower, and they continually support and shield their own... working class be damned. They claim to know what's best for tax paying citizens and force their agendas as they see fit. Globalism IS left wing.
Centrist/left = Same shit.

Globalism IS left wing.
Untrue. Globalism is an economic policy of the liberal right. It is diametrically opposed to labor unions and worker initiatives. Thankfully we can look to history to verify the reality:

"Right-wing exponents of antiglobalism do not argue in favour of an alternative globalization but suggest nationalism and particularism as cures for the problems caused by the dominant form of globalization.

Far more important in number of activists and public attention than right-wing antiglobalism has been left-wing antiglobalism. It came to public attention through protests—such as those at the gathering of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Seattle in November–December 1999, at the gatherings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington in April 2000 and in Prague in September 2000, and at the G8 (Group of Eight) countries’ gathering in Genoa in July 2001—and by annually organizing the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre as a counterevent to the meetings of the World Economic Forum. Supporters of left-wing antiglobalism argue that the capitalist logic underlying globalization results in asymmetrical power relations (both domestically and worldwide) and in the treatment of every aspect of life—including health, education, and culture—as a commodity."

Calls Grow for Mass December 5th Protests Against French Pension Cuts

"There is growing support for strike action on December 5 against President Emmanuel Macron’s pension cuts and austerity measures. Initially, five unions in Paris mass transit had called for a strike on December 5 to postpone calls for further action, after a widely-followed September 16 strike and wildcat strikes in the National Railways (SNCF). Now, fearing growing social anger among broad layers of workers, the unions are reluctantly calling for broader strikes. There are signs that the mobilization could be large and could paralyze the French economy."

Theyre cutting down the pensions furthure? This is CRAZY! What will they live off? AIR? Did you see that documentary about the yellow vests where they have to buy old meat bc they cant afford regular and if a light bulb goes out, they cant afford to switch it? This is genocide. Macron is starving them out while sitting in his fancy villa.

Claiming 'Globalism is right wing' doesn't make it true. The real agenda of globalism is to consolidate power and control of the world at large by an elite few, and enslave everyone else. It's accomplished through open borders [flood countries with 3rd world 'diversity', which destroys local culture and eventually nationalism], support illegal invaders over tax paying citizens [removes prosperity from those who work for it and equalizes poverty], pushing pro-PC and anti-free speech culture [punish independent thinkers], expansion of 'free stuff' socialist/communist programs [brings the populace into total government bondage], manipulation of radical environmentalism to further enslave and bring everyone into line [green new deal]... and the list goes on and on.

Those are all ideologies and practices of the left, not the right, and it's happening right now. Sorry to see you are so out of touch [or in denial] with current events.
Yeah forget Encyclopedia Britannica, you should create your own encyclopedia! :D

We're talking about two separate things: left/right social vs. economic policies. In my opinion the economic effects of globalization are what lead to local disturbances. Your examples are referring to (theoretical) cultural issues which interest me much less. The declared purpose of globalization is to eliminate barriers to international economic exchange, traditionally an ideal of corporate, right-wing, republican, neo-liberal banking proponents.

NAFTA was first discussed by Reagan and Bush in the early 80's. Clinton supported the measures for "free" trade because economically his administration's position was centrist/right leaning. That he allowed gays in the military, etc. is insignificant to this conversation. Obama, economically, was just as right/liberal capitalist as any of our other presidents. The US has never had a economically "left" executive.

Historically, in technical terms the "left" is opposed to unregulated market capitalism and other devices that favor industry/corporations. They are pro-labor, pro union. These are facts, look up any definition. It's accurate to label Macron's austerity measures, cutting police, tampering with pension, etc. as "right wing" measures. To pretend the unions mobilizing for Dec.5th is an action of the nationalists/alt-right is delusional.

This is exactly why reliance on government is never a good thing. Now the citizens are at the 'mercy' of their own government. It has the power to give... and take away.
Private employers also have the right to give and take away. How many companies have cut pension benefits and healthcare for their employees? Thousands probably.

Corporations and governments working on their behalf (Macron, Trump, Johnson, etc.) cannot be trusted. We will only have true freedom when the means of production are owned and controlled by the workers, democratically and on a local scale. We must also ensure that everyone in every country has the constitutional right to healthcare, decent housing, food, and clean water.

Obama was economically anything but right/conservative. And Macron's austerity measures are simply a way to control the population, which is also a typical globalist left wing tactic. Time to wake up.
Control the population? This is why nationalism will never work, they have no answers, only hyperbolic phrases/theories. The opposite of globalization is internationalism. We're defining terms to have a coherent conversation (or at least I thought that was the point). I said Obama's right/liberal economic policies. Liberal/ laissez-faire capitalism- pro-business, pro-investment, etc.

"In modern times, "right-wing" is sometimes used to describe laissez-faire capitalism. In Europe, capitalists formed alliances with the Right during their conflicts with workers after 1848. In France, the Right's support of capitalism can be traced to the late-nineteenth century. The so-called neoliberal Right, popularised by US President Ronald Reagan and UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, combines support for free markets, privatisation and deregulation with traditional right-wing support for social conformity." -(Wiki)

This has to be noted, why there is so much confusion with our terms "right and left wing."

"...Anthony Gregory has written that right-wing libertarianism "can refer to any number of varying and at times mutually exclusive political orientations". Gregory holds that the issue is neither right or left, but "whether a person sees the state as a major hazard or just another institution to be reformed and directed toward a political goal".

Exactly man. This is why the US is described as nearly fascist, with corporate and government leadership so closely tied. "Nationalism" wants to move world society back 200 years into selfish, tribal isolationism. I don't believe the masses want this. We care about the global population and the living standards of everyone. If the laborers, workers, true middle class of each country could somehow unite under policies to demand reforms and take back control of OUR governments, there could be immediate changes for the better.

Huge difference between corporate and government. An employee can vote with their feet and get a new job. Don't like a particular company? Don't work for it. If you are under government control via socialism/communism, there is nowhere to go. They own you in every way.

So, what is your solution? Remove corporate heads who worked insanely hard and took all the risks to start private companies and replace them with workers who have not put in the work or risk to start a company and keep it afloat? Yeah, sounds awesome.

Personally, I'm thankful there are hard working people with creative vision, motivation, and courage to launch new innovative companies and opportunities. I'm thankful I've been able to contribute as an employee and receive a paycheck. I'm thankful for an open market where I can change jobs and better my education and position. I'm very thankful for what I have and have been able to achieve through Jesus Christ. I don't covet other people's success or money.

The right to 'free' healthcare, housing, and food does not - and should not - exist. And nothing is free. To keep such a system in place, you have to steal from hard working, honest citizens and redistribute their earnings to everyone else, whether everyone else chooses to work or not. Why work at all when free stuff is handed out? Want better housing, food, and healthcare? EARN IT like the rest of us do.
1. Most successful companies (especially in tech) are started by people who come from affluent families and are educated and usually pretty smart and could easily find a well paying job. Their skills and family connections make starting a company easy because if it fails they'll be alright. For most people this is unrealistic because they have bills to pay or children to support. The average startup cost for a small business is around $30k, which most people just dont have, and dont have the means to save that much money for something that is likely to fail.

2. There is more than enough wealth in the world for every single human being to have the human rights I outlined in the previous comment. The world's average GDP per capita is $17.5k. Cuba guarantees all of those things to their citizens with a GDP per capita of $6k.

3. People who have all their basic needs met still work, though I think everyone working less would be a good thing for peoples' personal lives and the environment. But people want to have other things and something to do all day. The only way most people's lives across the globe can be made better is if the means of production are democratically controlled.
