There are many, sometimes conflicting, claims about so-called ‘apemen’, fossil creatures alleged to be evidence for ‘human evolution’. These ‘hominids’ are supposed to be our ancestors, transitions linking us and the alleged common ancestor of both apes and humans. Whenever new ‘finds’ are trumpeted, many wonder how anyone could deny we evolved from apelike ancestors. After all, isn’t each new find one more link in an evolutionary chain?

Yet the ‘big picture’ is very different, and encouraging for the biblical creationist. For many decades now, with few exceptions, a consistent pattern has emerged. It’s as if each find switches on some more pixels in a grainy image, maybe sharpening but not changing the picture, which was long obvious in outline. All of the finds more or less naturally fall into one of only three major groups. And two of these, Neandertal and Homo erectus, are similar anyway. Both are clearly human descendants of Adam.

Virtually all others, including the famous ‘Lucy’, are in the remaining group, which generates the most evolutionary excitement. But it turns out to be an extinct non-human primate group, anatomically not between apes and humans.

Future finds will almost certainly also fall into one of these groups. So overviewing them here should equip us to more readily understand how the next such proclaimed ‘human ancestor’, too, will likely fit this big picture, consistent with biblical history.

The argument itself was about how the NCSE and BCSE deal with religion. According to the ‘New Atheists’, religion is evil, and should never be promoted or condoned in any way. Their openly-declared aim is the removal of religion from society. Instead, the NCSE/BCSE take what is called an ‘accommodationist’ approach. Although (as the box details) the NCSE/BCSE’s leaders ultimately share this aim, they see it as bad strategy. Their particular campaigning aim is limited—they want to make sure that Darwinism is not questioned within science education. If they ‘de-cloaked’ and showed their full agenda, then their limited aim might be jeopardised. Or put more simply, they would not get taken seriously by the government and others they are aiming at. If people knew what the NCSE/BCSE really wanted, long-term, these groups would be side-lined. Most people consider that Dawkins’ agenda is extreme and undesirable; only a small proportion of people in society are avowed atheists, much less militant fundamentalist ones.

You might find this interesting with respect to the religion / mind control question @Awoken2

Leading anti-creationist philosopher admits that evolution is a religion

“Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular religion—a full-fledged alternative to Christianity, with meaning and morality. I am an ardent evolutionist and an ex-Christian, but I must admit that in this one complaint—and Mr [sic] Gish is but one of many to make it—the literalists are absolutely right. Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today. “… Evolution therefore came into being as a kind of secular ideology, an explicit substitute for Christianity.”1

For a century and a half, from Darwin himself to modern evolutionary biologists, flowers are an 'abominable mystery'.

Despite the growth of knowledge concerning the fossil record, they still have no idea how pine cones could evolve into flowers.

Worse, that same fossil record contains evidence that raises some serious questions. For example, pollen found in rock at the precambrian level. That is, layers supposedly representing a time when life itself was just starting to evolve.

You could say that evolutionists are allergic to flowers in the fossil record.

For those of us who believe in the Holy Bible, the answer to this seeming conundrum is simple. On the third day, God created plants, and with them, pine cones and flowers.

There were only 2 articles that mentioned neodarwinism last year in pubmed. They both discounted it eg

Neo-Darwinism must Mutate to survive 2022

There has been limited progress to the modern synthesis aka the theory of evolution. The central focus of this perspective is to provide evidence to document that selection based on survival of the fittest is insufficient for other than microevolution. However, macroevolution (required for all speciation events and the complexifications appearing in the Cambrian explosion) are shown to be probabilistically highly implausible (on the order of 10^50) when based on selection by survival of the fittest. We conclude that macroevolution via survival of the fittest is not salvageable by arguments for random genetic drift and other proposed mechanisms. We challenge evolutionary biology to advance boldly beyond the inadequacies of the modern synthesis To evolve, biological evolution must face the known deficiencies, especially the limitations of the concept survival of the fittest,

This spectacular fossil footprint was found in July of 2000 by amateur archaeologist, Alvis Delk of Stephenville, Texas and is now on display at the Creation Evidence Museum, Glen Rose, TX. Mr. Delk found the loose slab against the bank of the Paluxy River, about one mile north of Dinosaur Valley State Park. He flipped over the rock and saw an excellent dinosaur track, so he took it home where it sat in his living room for years, with hundreds of other fossils.

Early in 2008 he had a devastating accident. He fell off of a roof incurring damage that required months of hospitalization. He still has a dangerous blood clot in his brain.

When he returned to his home, he decided he would sell the dinosaur track, thinking Dr. Carl Baugh of the nearby Creation Evidence Museum would pay a few hundred dollars for it. He began to clean the rock, and that was when he discovered the fossil human footprint underneath the dried clay!

The human footprint had been made first, and shortly thereafter (before the mud turned to stone), a dinosaur stepped in the mud with its middle toe stepping on top of the human track. You can actually see the displaced mud from the dinosaur's middle toe inside the human footprint.

Spiral CT scans are used to generate images of the inside of an object from a large series of two-dimensional X-ray images taken around a single axis of rotation. This technology provides an effective means of analyzing fossil footprints without physically destroying them. It allows us to see inside the rock, specifically, under the footprint.

The slab was taken to the Glen Rose medical center where spiral CT scans were performed on the rock. Over 800 X-ray images document density changes within the rock that correspond precisely with the fossil footprints. Of course, carvings would show no corresponding structures beneath them. The existence of following contours beneath the fossil footprints dramatically demonstrate the authenticity of both tracks.

According to evolutionary theory, the dinosaur tracks at Glen Rose, TX were made at least 100 million years before humans were supposed to have evolved. Of course dinosaurs and humans cannot be stepping in each other's footprint if they are millions of year apart. These footprints provide profound evidence refuting the evolutionary myth.

The Radioactivity and the Age of The Earth, or RATE Project, undertaken by multiple major Creation organisations, yielded some fascinating results.

The short answer is they have found yet another piece of evidence consistent with a young Earth:

When uranium decays into lead, it produces helium as a byproduct. Helium is the light gas, which you've probably heard lifts balloons. It also easily escapes from rocks.

Zircon is a type of mineral found in deep granites, from the supposed Precambrian era. It contains partially decayed uranium (and helium to match).

These crystals are usually dated to about 1.5 billion years. However, there is way too much helium inside for them to be so old. Helium easily escapes. If it had been that long, there should hardly be any left.

Final dating by secular laboratories placed the samples between 4000 and 14000 years. Later still, this result was refined to about 5680 years, give or take an additional 2000.

It's quite possible that uranium decay rates were different in the past.

Cosmology:

Scientists have "discovered the impossible" – and it could change everything we know about the dawn of the universe
BY LI COHEN
FEBRUARY 23, 2023 / 8:32 AM / CBS NEWS

Scientists finally got a glimpse of what the universe looked like more than 13 billion years ago. And what they found could change everything we know about the dawn of the universe.

When the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope were released last July, astronomers got their earliest look at cosmic history yet, seeing captured images of what the universe looks like billions of light years away. They expected to maybe see some "tiny, young, baby galaxies." What they found, however, was something far greater – six massive galaxies dating back about 13.1 billion years that appeared to be just as old as the Milky Way is now.

"These objects are way more massive than anyone expected," astronomer Joel Leja said. "...We've discovered galaxies as mature as our own in what was previously understood to be the dawn of the universe."

DNA detected in duckbilled dino
Science Photo Library / Alamy Stock Photoduckbilled-dino
by Philip Robinson

“I couldn’t believe it, my heart almost stopped beating.” This was one of the research team’s reactions when they found evidence of proteins, chromosomes, and chemical markers of dinosaur DNA in the remains of a duckbilled dinosaur (Hypacrosaurus stebingeri).1

Dozens of disarticulated baby dinosaurs were discovered in the 1980s at Two Medicine Formation in northern Montana. A recent detailed examination of one of the skulls led the team to identify cartilage cells, with internal structures resembling nuclei and chromosomes.

The results shown mean that double-stranded DNA with a minimum length of six base pairs (BP) is present in these cells

The team applied to the cells two chemical stains that each react to DNA. These were DAPI (shown in blue) and PI, which unlike DAPI only does so in dead cells (shown in red).

The results shown mean that double-stranded DNA with a minimum length of six base pairs (BP) is present in these cells. The paper concluded, “The identification of chemical markers of DNA in Hypacrosaurus suggest it may preserve much longer than originally proposed.”

Of course, not everyone is happy with this find.2The dinosaur is ‘dated’ at 75 million years old, but precise calculations based on the laws of science demand that DNA should be totally disintegrated long before that.

The Bible is clear that these dinosaur remains cannot be millions of years old.

One paper calculated that DNA should be totally fragmented to one BP in about 6.8 million years even if frozen to –5°C. This is less than a tenth of the claimed age of the dino fossil. But at 15°C and 10,000 years, the average length of DNA would be about 13 BP.3

The Bible is clear that these dinosaur remains cannot be millions of years old. They were likely buried in sediment as a result of the global Noahic Flood around 4,500 years ago. The calculated figures from real chemistry are clearly consistent with this—and totally inconsistent with millions of years.

The Big Bang theory predicts lots of antimatter as well as matter. Missing antimatter has long been a problem. So big bangers have been trying to postulate asymmetries that would explain why the universe is almost totally composed of matter.

The experiment showed that the antiproton has an equal and opposite magnetic moment to the proton. I.e. not enough asymmetry to explain the overabundance of matter! This has so undermined the big bang cosmology that the lead researcher, Christian Smorra, said:

“All of our observations find a complete symmetry between matter and antimatter, which is why the universe should not actually exist.”

And just a few days ago, another loophole was closed. Big bangers were looking for asymmetry in the electron. But one report in Quanta said:

“Given the stakes, a small community of physicists has been doggedly hunting for any asymmetry in the shape of the electron for the past few decades. The experiments are now so sensitive that if an electron were the size of Earth, they could detect a bump on the North Pole the height of a single sugar molecule.

The latest results are in: The electron is rounder than that.”

The report also had this this question-begging:

“The Standard Model of Particle Physics is our best roster of all the particles that exist in the universe’s zoo. The theory has held up exceptionally well in experimental tests over the past few decades, but it leaves some serious “elephants in the room,” said Dmitry Budker, a physicist at the University of California, Berkeley.

For one thing, our mere existence is proof that the Standard Model is incomplete, since according to the theory, the Big Bang should have produced equal parts matter and antimatter that would have annihilated each other.”

In this eye-opening article, Tas Walker introduces a geological transformation tool that helps make sense of our world from a Biblical perspective.

It connects evolutionary ages with biblical history and provides an understanding of how geological features fit within the Bible's framework.

Key points:
▶The Geological transformation tool maps the geologic column with Biblical history.

▶Easy to use: Locate the date in millions of years for the example, then check its position on Biblical history arrows.

▶Most rocks encountered were formed during Noah's Flood.

▶Areas of Uncertainty: Note, however, that the geological column doesn't transform neatly into biblical history due to uniformitarian geologists' assumptions and other factors.

Read the full article to see how this tool can change your perspective on the world: https://creation.com/geology-transformation-tool
