Why did God send the judgment of the Flood in the days of Noah? Far more than simply a historical issue, the unique events leading to the Flood are a prerequisite to understanding the prophetic implications of our Lord's predictions regarding His Second Coming.1

The strange events recorded in Genesis 6 were understood by the ancient rabbinical sources, as well as the Septuagint translators, as referring to fallen angelsprocreating weird hybrid offspring with human women-known as the "Nephilim." So it was also understood by the early church fathers. These bizarre events are also echoed in the legends and myths of every ancient culture upon the earth: the ancient Greeks, the Egyptians, the Hindus, the South Sea Islanders, the American Indians, and virtually all the others.

However, many students of the Bible have been taught that this passage in Genesis 6 actually refers to a failure to keep the "faithful" lines of Seth separate from the "worldly" line of Cain. The idea has been advanced that after Cain killed Abel, the line of Seth remained separate and faithful, but the line of Cain turned ungodly and rebellious. The "Sons of God" are deemed to refer to leadership in the line of Seth; the "daughters of men" is deemed restricted to the line of Cain. The resulting marriages ostensibly blurred an inferred separation between them. (Why the resulting offspring are called the "Nephilim" remains without any clear explanation.)

Since Jesus prophesied, "As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be,"2 it becomes essential to understand what these days included.

I like Chuck Missler.. almost done with the video, and it is a good one, Red. :)

Not so much around here, but generally speaking.. people are catching on to this. That .. the Fallen were in the Earth in those days, and also after. It is the rest of the story.

Thats some very interesting architecture in the Valley of the Rephaim.. haven't seen that before. o_O

Oh... I think he was referring to Hesiod which I happened to be reading (a summary, rather) this morning, on the 5th age of man.

Strange that Daniel 2 mentions Iron and Clay as part of the fifth stage of the vision...

"42And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."

Yes, it is. Another person who is loaded with information on this subject that you may like is Ali Siadatan. I was floored. :)

The intros are often long winded (by the otherwise lovely hosts), but just skip a few minutes forward..

They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in to marriage. I think that people had become so wicked and evil that they were unable to be saved by God. The entire population of the earth was exceedingly wicked and there was only one family that was rescued from the flood. I believe that as the final days draw nearer there will be more and more evil and wickedness on the earth. The cities of Sodom and Gamorah were equally wicked and there were only three people saved from the destruction. I believe that true believers and followers of Christ will become fewer and fewer and I believe that Christians will be outnumbered a hundred to one. Anyone who is outspoken about the coming day of destruction is treated the same way that Noah was. They are made out to be lunatics. However, I believe that the evil people who are in control of the world know what is going to happen to them but they have agreed to sell their souls for pleasure and wealth in this world. They will hide in the caves and rocks to try to avoid their destruction. They will realize that their money will not save them from the wrath of God.

What do you think of the whole Genesis 6 thing though?
Genesis tells us that all flesh was (genetically) corrupt, except for Noah-- so salvation was not an option for those who were a product of the unions between the sons of God and the daughters of men. Iow, it went beyond wickedness. :/

I've wondered about that.. whether they know, or if they have been so deceived that they believe they will triumph over God by aligning themselves with Lucifer. What I really want to know is if they can be redeemed if they realize what they have done, and have a contrite heart-- I've always thought they could, but who knows what happens when someone makes that kind of transaction.

Just wondering...since these are as the days of Noah, where is that army of giant, human-fallen angel beings? Is anyone in possession of serious documentation? Where are the Nephilim? I certainly have never heard of nor seen any Nephilim.

Fell asleep yesterday while watching lol, will have to rewatch ending, otherwise good video, there are probably hundreds of videos and articles about this prophecy... So many angles this prophecy has. I don't think anyone can argue existence of Nephilim, or how they came to be anymore, too many good throughout researches done with same conclusions. What im not sure is that Jesus actually had nephilim in mind, author just briefly mentions at the start of the video how important is to understand who they were and how they came to be because of Jesus words. Things is it's not the only similarity between Noah times and now there are quite few others, which one Jesus had in mind , or maybe all of them...That's the real question, it might have nothing to do with nephilims in the end...

I belive that the people in the days of Noah were all too willing to rebel against God and probably accepted the Nephilim and embraced them. Today people have accepted the doctrines of devils and the philosophy that mankind can obtain god like conscience. Also the open invitation to spirit guides and new age beliefs in extraterestrials has been openly accepted by many people today. If there does appear beings on the earth that are from another dimension which may happen in the near future, I am sure that many people would accept them and do whatever they wanted, including sexual relationships with them. That being said, it is undoubtedly like it was in the days of Noah and in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. It will get even worse as time goes on. Yes, God would be willing to save people if they truly repented, but I believe that most of the people actually know the truth and openly reject God and have no desire to repent. The demons and Satan believe in the Almighty God and still rejected Him after living and following Him. If they decided to join Satan at all cost, I believe that many people would sell their souls to Satan for a life of pleasure, wealth and sin. Satan offered all the kingdoms of the world to Jesus Christ and he would offer people anything they want if they would be loyal to him and reject God.

I think it is fair to say that there is a diversity of views on this one. In terms of what has been, that is a great investigation in itself. Various researchers like LA Marzulli, Tim Alberino and others delve into the archaeology and ethnography.

In terms of what will come, answers depend to some degree on your wider understanding of eschatology. I have my own ideas but I'm also interested I'm what others think here...

The Fallen is likely the proper term.

5307. naphal
naphal: to fall, lie
Original Word: נָפַל
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: naphal
Phonetic Spelling: (naw-fal')
Short Definition: fall

I don't understand the question about the army of Giants... was there an army of Giants in Genesis to which you are referring? And what kind of documentation? Government documentation, or something from the scientific community confirming that the Abyss spoken of in Revelation has been opened? Maybe you could elaborate. Thanks

By 'army of giants', i meant the multitude of offspring. If everything that happened in Noah is to be replayed in our day, I take it the fallen ones would be 'seduced' by the daughters of men, probably someone living on your street, who would bear their offspring. So where are the giants?

By documentation, I meant solid proof. That there is a multitude of giants who, truly are, a product of 'sons of God' and 'daughters of men'....just as in the days of Noah.

The sons of God weren't 'seduced' by the daughters of men in the days of Noah. Besides.. they aren't hanging out in the local Starbucks these days-- the eternal chains that bind them in blackest darkness would make it difficult to do so, I'm sure.

Jude 1:6
And the angels who did not stay within their own domain, but abandoned their proper dwelling, He keeps under darkness, in eternal chains for judgment on that great day.

Maybe read up on the subject or watch one of the videos posted, so you'll know what's being discussed.

Aerials :)

Something I wondered about in the OT... think David's 'mighty' men. And definitely the aerials, or the lion-men, as they are also called. Discussed here.. just came out.
