  • To go on punishing for ever, simply for punishment's sake, shocks every sentiment of justice. And the case is so much worse when the punishment is really the prolongation of evil, when it is but making evil endless. --Thomas Allin, Christ Triumphant, p 49

How dare you say assert God didn't want us to infer a trinity! For shame I say.
Not that my situation or my accomplishments come anywhere close to his, but I kinda feel the same way William Wilberforce (or at the least the way he was portrayed in the movie "Amazing Grace") did when he got a revelation of the magnitutde of the Grace of God. I have no allusions that I am destined to do anything like end slave trade, but I think I have experienced at least a glimpse of what he experienced.
I have been reading the original preface to the 1611 KJV “the Translators to the Reader” and find it fascinating that the actual KJV translators had the exact opposite view of KJV only proponents. They would vehemently oppose “KJV onlyism”

From my understanding, the KJV was preceded by several bibles or several languages before even reaching the Geneva bible. Anabaptist among other groups that predated protestants all had bibles in various languages with not necessarily all 66 books contained that were compiled and cross referenced. While I'm a KJV fan it's because I feel it's the most complete of the translations but if someone is genuinely seeking

Answers and praying I don't really feel they'll be led astray but they might not receive the entirety of what they seek. I cross reference with lexicons and dictionaries or if something seems questionable then I will grab another translation but I can usually just Google my query.

    Are you acutally Protestant?

No I'm not protestant or RCC. I don't really care for labels. The best way to describe me is that I am a follower of the Way. (See Acts 9:2, 19:9, 19:23, 24:14 and 24:22)

I have no reason to protest against the RCC, as I have never recognized them as an authority over me in any manner. I believe Jesus is the Messiah and believe God's word is contained in the Bible. I am a Christian in the most basic sense, and though I fellowship with believers from many different denominations, my identity in Christ is not defined by a denomination or religious institution.
