And I actually feel much better! I'm not buying the super expensive ecological fruits but just regular fruits and veg but I do feel more energetic both physically and mentally.

Does anyone of you know of the gerson diet? It is said that juicing has cured stage 4 (terminally ill) cancer.

I have heard you can cure your cancer with a good diet, but I haven’t done a lot of research on it, Although I absolutely believe it will work!

We also bought a cold pressed juicer a few years ago and we have been so happy with the juices! I try to make at least 2 to three litres of veggie and fruit mixed juices a week and we don't buy any of the nonsense at the shops anymore, it's Lovely!

Yeah, it tastes MUCH better, plus you can mix what you want in it and the sweetness in it you KNOW are only from the fruit itself. Plus no conservatives! Onyly downside it the peeling of the fruits and the washing up but rinsig it is enough so its only the peeling thats a niusance.

Lots of nutrients in some of the peels - if you're using organic foods just wash them really well ( give them a few mins in a diluted vinegar bath) and don't chop them up too small because everytime the knife passes through it, nutrients are lost. Drink ASAP too! Juicing is awesome.

Yes I agree, I despise it when manufacturers add extra sugar to juices, and mostly it is reconstituted juices so the nutrients is long gone. I generally do not peel my apples and pears that I juice, but some of the other fruits is a pain to peel I agree!

Fruits & veggies through juicing are much more easier to consume.

Me personally I like to get my fiber and antioxidants from fruits & veggies.

Along with healthy fats from nut butters, lean protein etc.

Utilize that juicer. I cleaned up my diet a ton this past year and I feel so much better

the juice is great, but the fiber is important too. blenderizing is best; then juicing.

what kind of juicer did you buy?

if you dont eat the dry fiber or use it in a recipe, you could always compost it.
I bought a cheap kind from Lidl (a german food chain). It doesnt take out ALL the juice but its better than nothing and easy to wash. However I must say its WAY too expensive to buy ecologic fruits and it takes ALOT of fruits to make just one glass. I'm gonna go broke on this diet.

well, if you can, go out to the country (if possible) and pick your own stuff. i have plenty of abandoned apple trees near me. ok, theyre wormy sometimes, but i dont care.
the bad apples with discoloration marks and damaged fruits are often tossed by supermarkets. id approach them and make a deal. i betcha theyd let you have them for a fraction of the price. makes sense to them-- they would just throw them away anyway.

I love drinking cuke juice - just not all by itself. It's mostly water so is great as a base - and it has so many benefits (vitamins - especially Vitamin K which you need to take along with D3). So yeah, I wouldn't drink it straight by itself, but with carrots, apples, beets and ginger - or any other veggies - it's AOK.

Weighed myself today. Have lost 6 pounds, am down to 110 pounds. Feels good but if I continue and lose more, I might disappear, haha!
when on a juice fast or lemonade diet any kind of fast, youll initially lose weight and then regain it by the end. its the intestinal flush out that is most important.
expect a big cleansing reaction with the fresh apple juice. be happy knowing that its flushing out lots of heavy metals in your system.

Be careful and do not lose too much too soon.
That's good that you're detoxing though.

Being healthy is a lifestyle/commitment. So take care of yourself when you consume foods again

Wel..I must admit I have cheated everyday. Only drinking juice makes me so hungry I have to fill up with regular food at least once a day. I've gotten headaches aswell and am feeling weak. Is this normal? Feels like I'm starving. Also I lost another 4 pounds so down to 49kg, or 108 pounds. Must say its nice to the the ol' abs tho'. :p

Love your honesty! I haven't gotten up the gumption to do a juice fast but I have watched and read from several folks who have and everything you said is what they say too.

You should check out Joe cross - Fat Sick and Nearly Dead ... might inspire you. Used to be on youtube for free but can't find it at the moment - He's got lots of other vids on youtube too .
