I LOVE THIS!
Glad you did brother.
Hope Allah rewards you with the best of friends in your circles who will make you grow in faith and in the love of our Creator.
Take Care of yourself, InshaAllah.
Quran 18:28
28. And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; nor obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.

Sister @grateful servant I am watching Dr. Kayali's videos. Barak Allah feeki again for these videos.

Really nice video, Jazaki Allahu khair. I don't speak or understand German so I am grateful for the subtitles, however when the brother recited Ayat from Quran, I had no trouble understanding alhamdu lillah. Reminded me of this verse fromthe Bible actually:
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent (shoulder to shoulder). Zeph. 3:9

"It is vitally necessary to confront these media distortions with clear explanations of Allah’s law, which the human soul naturally accepts. This is the long and difficult road which the Prophets chose. Their followers are obliged to choose this path also, regardless of the efforts, hardship, and inconvenience it may cause them. They should know, moreover, that had the Prophets or the reformers fought the various forms of polytheism manifested in social conditions only, which contradict the declaration ‘There is no God except Allah’, then no one would have opposed them. Indeed only a few would have stood up to them. But the Prophets did not call to one aspect of religion only, instead they tried to reform all affairs of life. As the Prophet Muhammad U said: “No one will be able to arise with this religion except he who embraces it from all its sides.” There is no doubt, therefore, that among the demands of the declaration of ‘There is no God except Allah’ is the surrender to Allah Almighty only and recognition of His right to legislate and rule."
"There is no doubt that the servants of the wrongdoers always work to make people ignorant of the real nature of monotheism and isolate it to certain limited corners of life. This is conducted in order to enable them to deceive the people and lead them astray with their dreadful plans."

I've just watched "The State" on channel 4 (UK). I wonder if anyone else had watched it and if it was an accurate representation or a distortion of Islam?

Not trying to be inflammatory, just curious as I know many Muslims I have spoken with here feel misrepresented by the actions of their IS brothers and sisters.

khawarij are not our brothers and sisters.
Well I guess that was the first thing they got wrong then... I was interested in this mini-series as it was widely advertised and forms part of the public's perception...

A banker knows what a banknote looks and feels like. In the same way, when presented with a program like this, I would imagine a real Muslim would be able to distinguish the real thing from media presentations.

I find myself doing this fairly frequently these days when I see Christianity portrayed in the media. Once you have experienced the authentic, the fake stands out clearly.

I didn't want to derail your thread, but it might be helpful to be aware of this series both for the parts that are truly representing Islam, and the ways in which it might be misrepresenting things.

Anyway, God bless you @grateful servant

P.s. I looked up an unfamiliar term to me...

"The term al-Khariji was used as an exonym by their opponents from the fact that they left Ali's army. The name comes from the Arabic root خ ر ج, which has the primary meaning "to leave" or "to get out", as in the basic word خرج "to go out", "to walk out", "to come out", etc."

If I take your meaning, these guys effectively 'walked out' of Islam when they left the true path? Am I understanding you correctly?

May the Creator save us from these types.
Hypocrites are attempting to hijack our religion and are more destructive than our enemy.
Their numbers are insignificant but the media has given them a platform.
Religion requires that we should bring mercy to the world, but false religiosity is unmerciful.
Quran chapter 4:145
The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no helper wilt thou find for them;-
Quran (4:114)
There is no good in much of their secret conferences save (in) him who enjoineth almsgiving and kindness and peace-making among the people. Whoso doeth that, seeking the good pleasure of Allah, We shall bestow on him a vast reward.
Quran 9:67
The hypocrites, both men and women, proceed one from another. They enjoin the wrong, and they forbid the right, and they withhold their hands (from spending for the cause of Allah). They forget Allah, so He hath forgotten them. Lo! the hypocrites, they are the transgressors.
