I believe (well I know really but for the sake of humility I’ll say believe) that the Catholic faith is the true faith and every other denomination and religion is in error.

therefore, you can pull a thousand different websites and articles and it won’t make a difference to me, I’m Catholic for life.

Its not about pulling 1000's of websites. Its showing you prayer is a form of worship.

Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication

According to non-Catholic sources. I don’t pay attention to non-Catholic sources.
I'm guessing you're pretty old, least a girl you find attractive is from the 50's.

I suggest you ask God to show you the truth while you still have time.

You know the old adage, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Peace.

Im actually still in my twenties!

I tend to have a thing for more traditional and feminine women. I think that’s why I’m drawn more to women from the 50s etc unfortunately most women today don’t seem like women at all!

we will all find out the truth one day! If I’m right I hope God has mercy on you and others. Just know that even though our discussions got heated, I wish no ill will on you or anyone else.

peace

There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.

Nope, prayer doesn’t equal worship, the content of the prayer does.

that’s why I can and do pray to different saints.
Two sides, same coin. Interchangeable and not mutually exclusive. So you’d be wrong.

I’m not that big on belief but am keenly interested in theology. Christian theology has four branches and all four have epistemological issues with what you claim.

Christianity in its modern colours is too far gone to be consistent. And this forum is a fine example of this. So many conflicting opinions from Christians alone and so many theological disagreements among the plethora of churches, just makes Christianity a melting pot of badly interpreted biblical verses. No consistency.

Just like a runny yet lumpy custard.

There are better ways to address issues Snowfall.
I have dealt with Catholics before and they have generally been respectful.
You are welcome to tell people that your thread is for Christians and their scripture.
I have seen you deal with us in a better manner before, hence the advice.
May the Creator guide us all to that which is better. Ameen.
Sahih International:
And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do. 6:108

The Catholic Church teaches different and since that is the church that comes from St Peter the Apostle, who was made head of the Church by Christ himself, I think I’ll believe them, thank you.

Protestantism is a melting pot, Catholicism is consistent.

hello hero, I hope you’re doing well?
I appreciate the advice and I don’t enjoy the fact that my words have caused you sadness.

I’ve could’ve expressed things in a better way but sometimes passions do get the better of us, especially with sensitive subject matter like this, and even more so with provokers on this thread.

I will not neglect to speak what I believe is the truth and call out those who I believe are in error but like you said I could probably deal with it better.

Yes there's a truckload of different Christian organised religions, sects and cults etc, they're popular with people who like to let them do their thinking for them..:)
That's why Jesus cut through the lot of them by reminding people-
"You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)

They are both claiming to be Christian but neither are very “Christ like”, I mean, what Christian denomination is? I haven’t found any.

And that’s the problem right there!

I stick to my previous posts. If you pray to Mary, you’re worshipping Mary. The four branches of Christian theology all make cases against praying to dead saints. The bible itself has verses warning against praying to the dead. The whole “body of Christ encompasses the saints” argument is flawed primarily because it contradicts the biblical teachings. There’s no reconciliation there at all.

Just dogmatism and that’s really quite sad.

Personally I find it a good idea to usually back up anything I say with a quote from the Bible to lend weight to my posts, for example if I quote Jesus and somebody tries to argue, they're arguing with him and not with me..;)-
Jesus said- "Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, I will be ashamed of him" (Mark 8:38 )

I don't go to church because I don't feel the need, but if other people like going, good luck to them.
A few churchgoing pals tried to introduce me to their churches in the past but I always ended up walking out bored stiff after 5 minutes to cries of "There he goes!" from my rofling pals.
I later discovered they'd been betting among themselves how long it'd be before I walked..:)
Twice I walked out before the service had even begun because I didn't like the atmosphere, and on one occasion the vicar chased me down the street to try to persuade me to come back, it was like trying to escape from Colditz but I managed to give him the slip and make a home run.

Good for you.. :D
As Paul said- "..I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel...Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should" (Eph 6:19/20)
As for the nonchristians who gatecrash this thread, that always happens when somebody starts a religious thread and is the norm, so regard it as an opportunity for you to acquaint them with the Christian truth..:)
"Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will" (2 Tim 2:23-26)

You don't have to go to church.
You just have to be poor.

Jesus said "All poor people get into heaven for free"
Luke 6.20
