Jesus rescued an adulteress from a mob who wanted to kill her under the old law, and he also trashed the old "eye for an eye" law..:p
The story of the adulterous woman was added to the Bible (it's not in the original manuscripts), as you've already been unequivocally been shown before (and apparently decided to ignore, choosing instead to call Christ a liar).

------------------------

Please see the following links, in no particular order, regarding the story of the adulterous woman found in the Gospel of John:-

http://www.bible-researcher.com/adult.html

http://www.gotquestions.org/John-7-53-8-11.html

http://www.bibleodyssey.org/passages/main-articles/woman-caught-in-adultery.aspx

There is no question the story of the adulterous woman was added to the Bible because it was NOT PRESENT IN THE ORIGINAL TEXTS, and only appeared later (hence it was added).

Along with the truth pointed out by Biblical scholars that the story of the adulterous woman was:

1) not present in the original texts of the Gospel of John;

2) doesn't match the writing style of the rest of the Gospel of John; and

3) interrupts the flow of the story being told in the verses before and after it,

there are several other reasons we can be CERTAIN it was added later, including:

4) the passage contradicts Christ's statement about The Law found in Matthew 5:17-19 (i.e. if the story about the adulterous woman happened as we're told, it is calling Christ a liar);

5) the passage contradicts itself by claiming only a woman was caught in the act of adultery [it takes two to “tango” and the penalty in The Law is that BOTH the man and the woman caught in the act have committed a capital offence (Lev. 20:10)]; and

6) the passage contradicts itself by claiming Jesus let the woman caught in the act of adultery go, while at the same time telling her to “go and sin no more”. If it's really okay to commit adultery, then why tell her to stop doing it? In other words, if there's no penalty for sinning (breaking The Law – 1 John 3:4), then there's no incentive for anyone to stop sinning/breaking The Law, i.e. stop being a criminal.

The REAL reason the story of the adulterous woman was added was to be used to supposedly grant people the licence to commit all the abominations of the Earth (Rev. 17), even though Christ Himself said The Law would not change in the slightest way (Matt. 5:18) and that we should SIN NO MORE (John 5:14), i.e. STOP breaking The Law, or we will suffer the consequences (in this lifetime or the next (John 9:1-3).

Before disagreeing with what's been shared, please consider the FACT that today, as a result of man's refusal to keep and enforce The Law, adultery has been re-packaged as “having an affair” and is not only dealt with “leniently” under man-made rules, it's encouraged (and glorified). This has caused BILLIONS of broken homes and caused untold amounts of suffering, as children are caught in-between feuding parents, and brought up in an environment that fosters selfishness, infidelity and conflict (hatred really), instead of love and teamwork to overcome all obstacles, in effect training the children to repeat the same mistakes as their parents.

All because of our individual and collective INSANITY, in thinking we know better than God and refusing to keep and enforce His Law, His Statutes and His Judgements ONLY.

Keeping and enforcing God's Law would END adultery and the suffering that making adultery “legal” has caused. People CAN stop committing adultery (we are not powerless to resist temptation as Christianity wrongly teaches), and facing the REAL possibility of being lawfully executed for the CRIME of adultery would provide the necessary incentive for people to do the right thing.

Also, the old law said-
"All flying insects that swarm are unclean to you; do not eat them" (Deut 14:19),
yet John the baptist ate them, how do you explain that?
"John's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey" (Matt 3:4)
Wrong again. See the post above by fotw, #142.

The truth is being shared with you to help you overcome the lies Tidal. Every so-called Christian who isn't keeping The Law on Judgment Day will be cast into The Fire, exactly as Christ warned (see also Matt. 25:40-41).

Matthew 7:21-23
7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into The Kingdom of heaven; ONLY he that doeth the Will of my Father which is in heaven.
7:22 Many will say to me in That Day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work inequity.

Isn't pork not allowed for moslem? What is their logic behind this?
In the Koran (Quran), everyone is COMMANDED to read, carefully study and keep The Law that God gave us in the first five books of the Bible, namely Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

See: Suras 2:53, 2:87-93, 3:1-3, 3:48-50, 4:54, 5:46-50, 6:91-92, 6:154-157, 7:157, 9:111, 11:17, 15:9-10, 17:2-4, 21:48, 23:20, 23:49, 25:35, 28:1-3, 32:23, 35:25-32, 37:117, 40:53, 40:70, 41:45, 42:14-17, 45:16, 46:12, 46:30, 48:29, 53:36-47, 57:25-29, 61:6, 78:2

Unfortunately, the "moslems" have taken bits and pieces of The Law that God gave us, and made up their own rules from it, which they deceitfully call "Sharia Law". One of God's Commands that they did keep and appear to follow is the prohibition of eating pork, which they rightfully recognize to be unclean. This thread, and the videos being shared, do a nice job of illustrating the flawless logic behind God's Law, which will hopefully motivate genuine truth-seekers to review and study The Law in more detail.

Peace be upon you.

Haha, well if it was added, why did NOBODY from the priests or the Romans or the people ever come forward to say "Nah, it never happened?"
Anyway, when the mob asked Jesus if they should stone her, he sent them packing which is exactly the sort of thing he'd do..:p

You seem to be tying yourself in knots mate, try to keep your posts shorter and to the point like I do-
Paul said -"I'm worried lest you be led astray from the simplicity of Christ" (2 Cor 11:3)
"The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone?" (Ecc 6:11)

Remember, Jesus is easy to understand-
"And the common people heard him gladly" (Mark 12:37)

As for the old laws, they say to kill adulteresses, gays and witches, but I hope you don't go around doing that..:)
Jesus overuled that harsh stuff and people quickly cottoned on-
"The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (John 1:17)

Who said nobody ever came forward? And why would you assume the priests, rabbis, etc., all of which Christ condemned, would come forward and admit they added the story? Likewise, Is it not equally preposterous to ask why the very people who crucified Jesus would admit to making up a story about Him, to try to make Him out to be a liar?

What part of that story NOT being part of the original manuscript is so difficult for you to understand please?

Anyway, when the mob asked Jesus if they should stone her, he sent them packing which is exactly the sort of thing he'd do..:p
Except it isn't what Jesus would have done, because He isn't a liar, nor does He disobey Father's Law, which was given to us to protect us from evil and will NEVER change nor go away. You've been provided irrefutable evidence that the story was added. It's up to you to decide whether you will continue to ignore the truth so you can hang on to your fantasy (lie), or whether you have the courage to admit you're error, and learn from it.

God Bless.

Think it through mate- if anybody tried to add fake bits to the gospels there'd have been a big outcry from the early christian groups, so nobody dare even consider trying it..:)
For example there are plenty of books about Elvis's life story, so if anybody wrote a new book and added fake bits, outraged Elvis fans would be up in arms, right Elv?

To return back to the thread topic, for any who are genuinely interested in learning more about The Perfect Healthy Diet, found ONLY in The Law that God gave us for our own benefit, please refer to Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Of course Christ did NOT come to destroy The Law, which is still in force today, exactly as He said (Matt. 5:17-20). Christ came to teach us how to DO God's Will, which begins with obedience to The Law that God gave us.

John 7:16-19
7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me.
7:17 If any man will DO His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or [whether] I speak of myself.
7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh His glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
7:19 Did not Moses give you The Law, and [yet] NONE of you keepeth The Law? Why go ye about to kill me?

For those who may mistakenly believe Paul did away with The Law (even though Paul was only an apostle and primary school student of Christ, who had no authority to change God's Law), please bear in mind that Paul plainly stated: that he kept The Law (Rom. 7:25); that The Law/Commandments of God are holy, just and good (Rom. 7:12); that he was establishing The Law everywhere he went (Rom. 3:31) and that only those who DO what God has COMMANDED us to do in His Law will be justified before Christ (Rom. 2:13).

Paul's letters can sometimes be very confusing to the uneducated, particularly those who put their bellies before God.

Philippians 3:17-21
3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example.
3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ (the cross of "Self"-sacrifice):
3:19 Whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is their] BELLY, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Christ Jesus:
3:21 Who shall change our vile [selfish] body, that it may be refashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

God would like everyone to stop being so stupid, selfish and arrogant, and learn to listen and obey Him. The prohibition on stuffing one's belly with swine flesh serves as an excellent example of why God's Perfect Law was given to us for our benefit, as pork contains over 20 different parasites, some of which can survive the cooking process and all of which have long-term detrimental effects to human health. And God knew all of this thousands of years before anyone ever viewed one of these parasites under a microscope, which is why He COMMANDED us not to eat pig, nor even touch its dead carcass.

It's not a polite request, nor even just good advice; it is a COMMANDment from God, given to us to protect us from evil, as God's Commands ALWAYS do.

Peace be upon all of you.

Thank God for that.

Some people have serious health problems due to their horrible eating habits. A simple search on google can reveal associated health risks in eating pork...I think it's as simple as, God created some animals for consumption and others for some other purpose (in some connection with the eco-system/environment).

Even Isaiah in the OT said "to the law and the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20)
And in 1 John, "sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4)
And also James says, "faith without works is dead" (James 2:20) because as it states in 1 John 2nd chapter "if we keep not his commandments, the truth is not in us" (1 John 2:4)
It's because of the law that we know what sin is. Christ abolished the offerings and sacrifices in the law, because he was our sacrifice for sins and animals can't do what he did (as far as exposing our sins and showing us how to overcome them, in spirit and not just in deed).

There is room for grace, but grace doesn't mean we break the law (Romans 7:7, and Romans 6:15 in particular). It's in our best interest to try to keep the law as best we can. That's what sets his disciples apart. God is all about order, cleanliness and holiness, not confusion.

I recommend reading all the chapters I listed in their entirety. I don't think it's God's will to defile our temples. Good health comes from God; good mental, spiritual and physical health can be found in the scriptures.

Keep telling yourself that.

Gotta hand it to you though, there's not too many people who could somehow find a way to migrate from Christ and keeping The Law to Elvis and his geriatric fan-club in a thread about why pork is bad (i.e. sinful/criminal and unhealthy) for humans.

So what about all the people that had only pigs to eat? So they should have just starved lol stupid. If what you eat is going to change your heart to be good or bad well then you have a true problem. They did away with the strict food diet guess no one remembers the dream of the animals in the sheet Peter wasn't it?

It’s about being obedient to God and what he intended for creation.

The dream was pertaining to gentiles entering the ministry. Before that, Christ had told them to only go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But tell me what people only had access to pigs for food in the history of mankind?

I’ll give you that not all people were given the law, it was only initially given to Israelites. But gentiles who accept the God of israel are expected to follow the law. Those who are without the law, are judged without it (Romans 2:12-16)

Of course people remember Peter's dream. The problem is most mistakenly believe it somehow granted people the "freedom" to eat unclean animals when, in fact, it had nothing to do with eating or animals at all.

Acts 10:9-28
10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10:10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, HE FELL INTO A TRANCE,
10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
10:13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
10:14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
10:15 And the voice [spoke] unto him again the second time, WHAT GOD HATH CLEANSED, [THAT] CALL NOT THOU COMMON.
10:16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
10:17 Now while PETER DOUBTED IN HIMSELF WHAT THIS VISION WHICH HE HAD SEEN SHOULD MEAN, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
10:18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter [Cephas], were lodged there.
10:19 WHILE PETER THOUGHT ON THE VISION, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
10:20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what [is] the cause wherefore ye are come?
10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.
10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged [them]. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
10:24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped [him].
10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
10:28 And he said unto them, YE KNOW THAT IT IS AN UNLAWFUL THING FOR A MAN THAT IS A JEW TO KEEP COMPANY, OR COME UNTO ONE OF ANOTHER NATION; BUT GOD HATH SHOWED ME THAT I SHOULD NOT CALL ANY MAN COMMON OR UNCLEAN.

The meaning of Peter's vision (which Peter himself struggled with – verse 17 – until he was shown) was that he should not avoid a man, sent to him from another nation which did not live by God's Laws. This is confirmed by Peter again in Acts 11.

It had absolutely NOTHING to do with pork except to those whose god is their belly and who would rather eat pork (and shrimp, lobster, catfish, crabs, oysters, clams, crawfish, etc.) to their physical and spiritual detriment, rather than obey God (which is the first and most important Commandment - Mark 12:30).

This passage is worth airing, as Paul seems to be inferring that satan has some kind of influence in the matter of what people think they can or can't eat-

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils..
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

" (1 Tim 4:1-4)

For what its worth if you have nothing else then you can eat pork out of necessity from a Muslim standpoint.

Do you think the one who forbid you pork would only give you pork to eat?

Isn't it obvious? If pork tasted horrible, why would He need to forbid it in the first place?
Because life is a test and the Almighty has beautified that which he has forbidden.

If evil wasn't attractive, there wouldn't be a human engaging in it on the planet.

We both know you reject God but every man will know why hes in hell. Not that I'm saying if you eat pork you're gonna burn. But we all know right from wrong and will be judged accordingly. Yes, you denounce God so this is pointless to mention to you other then highlighting that it is the reality.
