Aspartame’s Name Changed to Amino Sweet: A Toxin By Another Name is Still a Toxin

Natural Society has been talking about the dangers of Aspartame for quite some time now. It is a dangerous artificial sweetener found in many of the foods we consume every day, including soft drinks, chewing gum, breakfast cereals, and jams. Now, it’s important to know that aspartame may be disguised as a new name in your favorite foods – aminosweet.
Used as a sugar substitute and often marketed as Nutrasweet and Equal, aspartame is an excitotoxin that destroys the brain and body. Its use has been a controversial subject since the 1980s when the CEO of Searle, Donald Rumsfeld, pushed for it’s approval to be sold on the market. Now, its name is being changed, with FDA approval, to try to dupe millions into purchasing and consuming this toxin once again.
Aspartame, even renamed Amino Sweet, is not safe. This substance is made using genetically modified bacteria in the US, but according to a Monsanto source, the UK market does not have to eat genetically modified bacteria excrement. Many ‘low-calorie’ foods contain GMO aspartame, however, even overseas. Aspartame may cause blindness, cancer, and brain tumors.

Just as a reminder of who is pushing this excrement – quite literally – on the consumers of the United states, it was Mr. Rumsfeld who went on to become George W. Bush’s secretary of Defense, and crony-Capitalist agenda-pusher. This one substance has continually been shown to cause harm to human health, so why is the FDA renaming it instead of banning it completely from the food supply? There is considerable evidence that artificial sweeteners cause cancer, including aspartame specifically – so why not name it something more appropriate at least? ‘Sickeningly Sweet’ might be more appropriate.
Even saccharin eventually had to be made with a label, mandated by Congress, that says, “Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This product contains saccharin, which has been determined to cause cancer in laboratory animals”. The FDA’s own toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross told Congress that without a shadow of a doubt, aspartame can cause brain tumors and brain cancer and that it violated the Delaney Amendment. Aside from cancers and tumors, top researchers have linked aspartame with the following symptoms and diseases:
  • Headaches
  • Memory loss
  • Seizures
  • Vision Loss
  • Coma
  • ADD
  • Lupus
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Chrnoic Fatigue
  • Diabetes
  • Depression
Aspartame is Dangerous
European scientists have been telling us about the dangers of aspartame since 2005. Why on earth is it still allowed in our food? Partly? Because a politically biased FDA, then swayed by Rumsfeld’s corporation, said that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)’s decision about aspartame was not conclusive enough to prove that it was a dangerous substance, and that there was no “further review [on an] earlier scientific opinion on the safety of aspartame or [reason] to revise the Acceptable Daily Intake.”
The problem, and what more research concluded, is that aspartame breaks down into something called Phenylalanine, among other things. This can cause a disorder known as Phenylketonuria.
“. . .one in 15,000 people in the world has a genetic disorder called Phenylketonuria. Their bodycan’t metabolize synthesizde phenylalanine. As it builds up in the body, it causes all sorts of bad things to happen, such as mental retardation, seizures, and other brain damage. People suffering from Phenylketonuria (or PKU) are called phenylketonurics. They need to constantly monitor their protein intake. They are also warned about consumption of products containing aspartame – hence the warning on labels – ‘Phenylketonurics – contains phenylalanine.”
Not only that, but aspartame is also chemically addictive to the body, even though it damages it profoundly – just like other drugs. This is why food makers want to put it in their products – so you will buy more of them.
Aspartame, or Amino Sweet – its all the same toxic substance. Watch out for it on food labels. Eat honey, apple sauce, raw, non-GMO sugar, and other REAL food sweeteners instead. You deserve to live a sweet life without being a sucker.

All of the above and artificial sweeteners (even natural sugar substitutes) can lead to weight gain as it tricks the body into thinking it had something and end up making you more hungry. At least sugar gives empty calories and will hold off the hunger for a while. Not to mention all the artificial sweeteners taste like crap.

The only sweetener I use outside of sugar is stevia. Now brand is the one I prefer as it is not bitter, doesn't clump and tastes like real sugar except in coffee. Otherwise I stay clear of artificial poison.

I had a stevia plant. Good gawd, talk about a sweet leaf. Not only was it sweeter than cane, it was sweeter than horehound was bitter!

My mom uses sweeteners..I think she believed that it would help her with weight loss..it isn’t sugar. I could never understand why anyone would use a sweetener over sugar though, it tastes like it’ll kill you.
I don’t doubt they change up the names of it since some people would like to avoid that stuff.

...awesome info FB! just confirms the 'warning-shot, across the bow' I received from my first ingestion of aspartame with the splitting, debilitating headache which followed....
...one other option, which I use ONLY when I'm craving whipped-cream with fresh blue/black/strawberries... I've had good success with monkfruit extract in 'drops-form'... also comes granular and powdered.... don't sell it, or work for the company.... just had good experience, thus far....

...my local grocery carries the Lakanto brand....

My brother gets migraines if he ingests aspertame. It took him a while to figure out it was the diet soda that triggered his illness. A friend of mine told me he had a terrible panic attack the day drinking diet cola which he never would usually drink. As for me, my eye sight becomes strained and blurry, much like the effect MSG has on me as well.

Hard to believe, I've never heard of this before. I will have to do some research. It looks interesting.

....just my personal experience, FB.... and as I said, I ONLY use the drops form for whipped cream on fresh berries... but from everything I've discovered, thus far, it appears to come as close to 'real sugar' without the unwanted glycemic effects or bitter/unwelcome aftertaste... but YMMV, as they say....
...it is my understanding that the monkfruit, in it's natural harvested form, is quite bitter and distasteful.... and it takes quite a bit of 'human intervention' (distilling)(?) to produce the sweet stuff....
...as I said... I can buy it locally, (Lakanto) but monkfruit sweetener is available on amazon and elsewhere, if it works for you... Good Luck!

I prefer fructose. I used to buy stevia too, but you can't use it to preserve fruits, but you can use fructose instead of sugar to make jams or compot.

Found out fructose makes up 50 per cent of table sugar and needs to be converted to glucose by the liver before it can be used by the body. Interesting.

Yeah, IIRC, fructose is basically fruit sugar. I didn't know about the conversion in the liver either.

It's better to eat real fruit, with natural sugar and fiber, than fructose added to foods, etc. Doesn't an overabundance of fructose harm the liver, in addition to other organs? Fatty liver disease has increased among non-alcoholics and those who never touch alcohol just from eating too much processed foods. I know two people, one young and one old, who had liver transplants. I'm not saying it was from fatty liver disease bc I do not know for sure. That's just my educated guess. Neither one of them drinks and one eats pretty healthy overall and loves to cook at home, not big on eating out. Could just be a fluke. I know the young one ate like a typical early 20 something, kinda poorly nutritionally with a fast metabolism. Just some thoughts.

Wow! Luckily, I don't have a real sweet tooth so my sugar intake is mainly from bananas, apples and blueberries. I also try to avoid most processed foods and oils. Stick with olive and coconut oil mainly. Better for the liver.

It is definitely better to eat fresh fruit instead of sweetened ones with processed fructose but you can't find healthy fruits in the winter, only imported fruit that I personally wouldn't eat.
I'd rather eat 100% real fruit from my family's trees or bought from local peasants, than who knows what from who knows where, even if my fruit has fructose added to it in order to last the winter. So far in all these years, I've never had liver problems.

My uncles/aunts/grandparents/great-grandparents all have always preserved fruit with white sugar and they're not diabetic or dropping like flies like they would have you believe. In fact the older generations who haven't steered away from sugar are actually the healthiest ones among us, not because they ate sugar or didn't eat sugar, but because they ate real food, the main ingredient of a healthy diet. Food that they themselves produced

So true. When I think of what my grand-parents ate and how long they lived. I've been doing this myself a lot more lately. It takes longer to prepare, but its so worth it. I broke down on the weekend and ate some junk food and felt just awful. I think once your body gets used to eating well, it lets you know that crap won't do anymore.

I agree. It took a little while to get used to just drinking water, I really hated it at first and now it’s alright. You can get used to anything.
You can always spice up water with fruit, lime, lemon, basil, mint, apple cider vinegar, etc. Citrus fruits are my fave to add to water or infuse in water.

That’s very true, thanks! I always seem to like infused water better when someone else does it, lol, I don’t know why?
