I read some military persons opinion that what she did was calculated as a show of force so people wouldn’t press jons claim.. as opposed to “mad” which might be why she was crying just before idk
In some situations, a show of force would be a good move. However, I think most modern Military leaders agree that overkill is a bad strategy in the long term. The ultimate goal should be to win the hearts and minds of the enemies civilian population. And you don't do that by mass-murder and obliterating their entire infrastructure.

1) She was pissed with the Lannisters about her dragon -- Cersei
2) She was pissed with the Lannisters about her father -- Jaime
3) She was pissed about Missandei - Cersei
4) She was pissed about Jon Snow's rejection and his claim.
5) She was pissed with Tyrion and his allegiance

6) She knew she couldn't get no love from the people in King's landing, but Jon Snow could, so who needs them? She just went ahead and fried everyone who might join a future revolt against her rule.

I'll buy most of that. Because I definitely get the revenge motivator. But the idea that Jon Snow could find love in King's Landing is questionable at best. Of course, insane people aren't logical though.

I think that most of us just needed more to make her turn to the dark-side feel natural. Or at least less jarring. I liked how she won the battle though. It was pretty badass watching her completely decimate fools. Although I still have some gripes about the accuracy of military strategy.

If your city is besieged you don't put your army outside the damn walls. Hence why the golden company got destroyed in Kings Landing, and why the living got destroyed at Winterfell. They are sitting ducks out there. If you have walls, you use them.

Tyrion tried to convince Cersei about what was fixing to happen with that dragon, but she wasn't hearing none of that....

They just needed like one more episode in between.. to like let her wallow and boil and let us see it. Instead of like ten minutes in the beginning.

Well, all I can say is HBO fare beyond the GOT has been sketchy for a bit. I have tried to get into Westworld but something is missing. They'd better hope for some spin-offs but this season could burn some people out with concern to hop. We knew without Martin that things would go astray and they have. Still, it was a nice ride for a decade and who will ever forget how good the premiere episode was setting up years of creative TV.

I read an article today about HBO offering GOT an unlimited budget. Apparently, the showrunners wanted out and their compromise gave us these last 2 half-assed seasons. I think that's incredibly short-sighted, to say the least.

It all sounds like typical corporate laziness. Where people get comfortable and just phone it in. Maybe part of that has to do with technology, but I think there's more to it. I think that this is about passion, or a lack thereof.

Passion can't be faked, and it doesn't just drop out of the air (I would know). We have to push each other to constantly be better and not settle. And it should be universally understood doing that takes constant effort. Take me for example, I've come a long way. But I'm still kind of like "The Hound" in real life.

Hopefully, they do something to fix this debacle of an ending. It was so bad, it's like their singular goal was to leave all of their fans butthurt. I mean unless your favorite characters were the last dragon and dire wolf, your ass is stinging right now.

I, however, feel very little. I feel like I'm getting the message from the writers loud and clear. None of this matters, or ever mattered. Which is fine by me, but I liked the show a whole lot more when it did.
