are you making other stuff with the quinoa? (btw, watch the steel cut oats if its not organic-- theres lots of glyphosphate residue in it)

if youre just making it as a side dish, 1/2 cup should be plenty for a kid.

why not make a bigger batch and just put it in the fridge? if i have to cook, i always cook in volume.
homie, You Know my shit is organic :)
1/2 cup but to how much water??
ayurvedic cooking, no leftovers, all has to be cooked fresh daily! totally doesn't fit my modern lifestyle but trying!

Q: getting an adjustment at a chiropractor-- good or bad?

i used to think is was quackery and thought they were just as much of a doctor as dr. dre. i changed my mind somewhat recently and thought they could be beneficial to, say, someone with sciatica. i am reading a few things now that these adjustments weaken the ligaments and cause the joints to slip out more easily than before, and ive read that some of these adjustments can lead to arthritis.
im not sure what to believe.
I've had mixed experiences. Plus some of them want to tell you that they can cure everything. Be careful if you're allowing one to twist your neck/head. One actually made my headaches at that time worse. Plus the sound of your neck cracking in your ears is freaky.

With headaches I recommend an electrolyte drink.
If the ingredients in gatorade/powerade shoo you away. I'd say bcaa's as an alternative or if you can stomach the taste, salt water.

Not much for chiro's personally. I usually just have my son roll his hot wheels on my back when he's willing.

Thankfully I haven't really had any debilitating aches to consider a chiropractor in the first place. Just when it comes to the neck and spial cord. I'll trust my own assessment or seek professional help

Be aware that since it's HBO, they'll be naked people and/or strong sexual content. It's like they have a quota to meet or something. It's why I can't watch GOT because it's like medieval soft core porn. Plus the witchcraft thing bothered me, too.

ah, thanks for the link. i didnt see that thread.
you have a point with the HBO decency. plenty of shows have unwarranted nudity and have no bearing on the episode except to tittilate the viewer and jack up the ratings with the hope of another eyeful, but i actually prefer the director to have a free hand in whatever it is they are trying to express. sometimes nudity, violence, and strong language are required for the scene. it doesnt mean they need to go overboard, though (westworld? sucks by the way).
could you imagine a prison show like oz on regular tv? its got to be kept realistic for people to accept it.

Unfortunately, external HD's can be problematic, lose data and if dropped from a few feet onto a hard surface can literally rest or break (these are the smaller ones including compacts). Sturdier bookshelf types are cumbersome but more reliable. In the end, you simply must back up data in two places these days.

You love it or hate it. I was in the latter category thinking is was overblown fantasy hubris which led to nowhere and was soon forgotten. It tried too hard to be artsy and odd to the point of ridiculousness. But I am sure others differ for some loved it. I figure it got canceled for a reason allowing them to close in the third season. So critically a hit but not many were watching.
