What is secularism, where did it come from and how do we get rid of it?

People removed God/ basic morals from society e.g. education system.

No-one can live without beliefs of some variety. When modern western society made it socially acceptable to deny there is a God people had to believe in something - and for many it became themselves. "People are basically good... with enough education everyone will be noble and look after other people as well as themselves...."

.... how has that worked out?

Not so well. It's as though God has been banned from many of the places where He is most needed.

This argument has been discussed to the bone, and no amount of it is going to change the mind of someone with a strong religious belief.

I agree, I couldn't imagine the level of witch hunts these people would be on. I think it keeps their primitive behaviour from hunting down Wiccan's like me and burning us alive. If their god was as powerful as he says he is in their book then he wouldn't be able to be banned from anything. What kind of weak god creates his own universe but allows humans to be more powerful than he is. So many contradictions. I am so glad and grateful for secularism. It keeps these people in line. Something has to otherwise we'd all be killed for being demon possessed.

sec·u·lar
ˈsekyələr/
adjective
adjective: secular
  1. 1.
denoting attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis.
It began in the 18th century via the European enlightenment and the influence of Christian theology.

I don't believe secularism is something to be rid of. There is no compulsion in main stream religion so I see no issue with it. If you can found a community that is the essence of ancient Israel with no flaws then be my and God's guest but otherwise it's not going away.

One can't impose their will on others especially in the case of religion. There are but aren't caveats to living in a secular society yet I see them as test. However the Mormons have their own communities that ban porn and so on.

It's honestly inescapable and part of your religious walk.

Seriously though, found your own community or country but you won't get a theocracy or religious capital unless you brainwash everyone with speeches(lies) from Obama.
