"Amin (Todai) has embarked on a number of restaurant projects: first, launching the critically acclaimed Lucien Restaurant, in the core of downtown Toronto – which garnered the title of Best New Restaurant of 2008 by Toronto Life Magazine;"

That video nails it - and at the same time reminds me of the Palantir in Lord of the Rings. This jewel gives knowledge of what is going on without advice...

I was struck how Tolkien managed to see the three main responses to the truth that was revealed, and in some ways shine a lot of understanding on the "truth" movement many years later.

Saruman is both overwhelmed and seduced by darkness as he looks into the plans of the enemy.

Denethor looks to his own resources and finds them wanting. In despair he turns in on himself, in the end to suicide.

Aragorn believes the power of goodness is greater than evil and is able to look into the darkness without being defeated. Appropriately, this takes place in a book called "The Return of the King"

@Haich - As a Christian who identifies with the Aragorn point of view, I am drawn to the words of Revelation 19 when thinking about how things will work out in the end (which I needed to read to properly make out the words in this song ;-)

I know I shouldn't be surprised - its the times we live in but I was chatting with one of the parents who I know from the sports club my kids go to and the topic turned to TV series - apparently "Lucifer" is really "smart and tongue in cheek"...

I once read a book called "The Marketing of Evil" and thought the title said it all!!!

Have you seen Lucifer season 1 + 2 + 3 = the devil there is so cool and more human then God

There is something about the name of that series that fails to attract me! I started to notice that "human", " warts and all", "cool", false heroism and so many subtle psy-ops ease people into what the Rolling Stones once called " Sympathy for the Devil".

To stand in defiance to the highly relatable Lucifer and follow Jesus instead is becoming distinctly unfashionable ;-)

Im not sure we have those...I mean leaders. It doesn't work like that, there are some great teachers and pastors who can be considered authorities, but there isn't any hierarchy...
I wasn't referring to a hierarchical structure, moreso church leaders of influential members of your community. Knowledgeable teachers in your community with the platforms to address issues, don't they speak out when problems like this arise?

The only way for society to become "more Christian" is for more people in the society to become Christians. Blasphemous ice creams are like symptoms of the heart. Trying to ban them is to a degree like eradicating the common cold by cracking down on people blowing their noses!!!

The answer to "Sweet Jesus" is Real Jesus, proved to be effective in 100% of blasphemy epidemics!

Well I'd disagree, i think society needs to become more respectful of people of any faith. There's an atheistic culture in the west which frowns upon people who adhere to faith and seek guidance from a higher being. It's fine to be an atheist, as it's fine to be a Christian, Hindu or Muslim. Conversion shouldn't be a priority but rather a cohesive and cooperative society in which we work together.

To a degree, I agree with you as far as society is concerned. We have talked from time to time and no doubt you are no closer to becoming a Christian than I a Muslim. I respect your right to disagree with me as much as I do @Faker He-Man or @TMT

For me, the main thing is for freedom of speech but not freedom to blaspheme. I can disagree with Islam without resorting to cheap shots and hate speech. Does that make sense?

Yh I agree. I mean there's a difference between intentional offence and genuine criticism. It's difficult to find a fair balance between the two since what one finds offensive, another will find critical.

Yet it also seems you're in favor of signing petitions and possibly even in favor of blasphemy laws which are the same as censorship, by the way. You can have freedom of speech or laws against blasphemy/mockery but never both. That's not how it works lol

I would sign a petition here as I don't like the way the SJ jerks treat kids. I draw the line when innocent children are exploited for blasphemy based marketing ;-)

And if you say something racicstic ? Oh no you can't...because it's offensive, nobody even thinks about freedom of speech, seems unrelated...But when Christianity is bashed everyone suddenly cares about freedom of speech...And it's exactly how it works, they have a right (apparently) to do it, we have a right to disagree with it. You can't get better deal than that while insulting 2 billion people and making money from it...Yet even more is asked...to shut up while we doing it ,and do not show dissatisfaction because freedom of speech...facepalm...

agreed. although I'm not sure where the line can be drawn. should children be used in any type of advertising whatsoever? I don't know if there is a "correct" answer. I just know I would never want to give my children that message- that appearances can be so important that there is money to be made... I don't like it, blasphemy or no blasphemy

This case disturbs more than regular child advertising as it alludes to practices (real or imagined) in which children are treated very badly in real life.

Right, but on the other hand freedom of expression needs to be protected over our sensibilities. After all, there is also artwork created in a similar vein by survivors of childhood trauma that is a therapeutic outlet and source of healing that would be in danger of also being censored.

Good point also... Intelligent censorship is a tricky business! Perhaps the question "who benefits" might be the crux of it?

This straw man argument belongs in the trash. Telling someone to "shut up" also falls under freedom of speech. I'm talking about laws, not mere words.

In the end, I don't even think it's about blasphemy or censorship so much as f*cking bad taste. I'm sick of crude over clever. This is how the Pharisees that run the media and Hollywood continue to pipe their antichrist agenda into everything. The majority of it is designed to bash down religious (Christian in particular) values (and just plain morality) to marginalize them so that something like this Ice cream shop that's basically a front for Luciferian propaganda/putdowns can thrive. Maybe they can install one of those Baphomet benches out front for the kiddies to play on. This is what happens with the monopolization of the media. After all, with all the satanic movies, TV shows, cartoons, music and magazines, etc. (and a clinically insane MSM) now it's revealed what it's all been about: indoctrination. So that the majority will accept this kinda crap and happily plunk down $6 for an ice cream cone from Satan. Do you really think it's about $6 for the ice cream or $6 donated to a temple for Lucifer? Hey, buy 3 and you hit their magic number-666...And Haich is right-where are the Christian spokesmen and leaders and why aren't they organizing? Well, as I said about the media, the "influential" (false prophet) ones are on TV too, and they don't wanna f*ck that up so they bow to these modern Pharisees...

I never said I don't like religion, I just don't like TV -- Suicidal Tendencies "Pledge Your Allegiance"

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" -- Aleister Crowley

artwork created in a similar vein by survivors of childhood trauma
It would seem that some of it is hanging on Tony Podesta's walls. Have you seen that freaks art collection?
