Netflix announced they plan on trying to "change the anime industry".

Nice. They're trying to take over the last medium not yet ruled by them. Can't wait to see forced diversity everywhere and hideous characters that only tumblr could come up with.

I'll enjoy what little freedom from "them" the industry has left.

Ajin was pretty great both seasons. From what I understand it's all going to be adaptations rather than originals and this can be considered a win over the Funimation/Aniplex/Sony monopoly on US licensed anime. Besides they can't butcher it if the Japanese studios don't allow it because they aren't being given sole creative power to do as they please. Another thing to note is that the Japanese anime suffers in regards to profit with some studios paying their artist less than $8 an hour and then the strangle hold that television slots have on the industry is detrimental. I'm all for wider distribution of anime if it gets these artist and mangaka paid what they deserve especially when 12 episode blue ray cost 80ish and these anime become reliant on those sales of merch more than anything else.

Almost every Netflix show I have come across tries to shove interracialism, LGBT, and or religion bashing as either core or side themes of a show.

>Watching kpop music video
>"Aww this video is so cute! And I haven't seen a single Illuminati sign anywhe--"
>*singer briefly holds up an open bottle of some sort of liquid to her eye and sets it back down*
>*looks into the camera like it's The Office*
Why does this always happen to me. Why.

You know what? I'm gonna let that slide as innocent, because there is absolutely nothing else in the music video that I can see that has to do with the Illuminati. The lyrics when she does it are a little...depressing ("My heart is empty, so it's cold"), but the rest of the song isn't depressing nor does it have depressing lyrics (well, it does, but not sad-sad, just like boohoo I want my ex back), and the bottle is nearly empty so it kind of makes sense? LET ME HAVE THIS ONE THING GODDAMMIT

Edit: Oh. Oh nice. I went to look up what record label she's under, saw "YG", said out loud "oh boy", and then saw this image. You know what? Maybe her being in the YG dungeon is a good thing. Maybe it means she's not a satanist or programmed. Hopefully. Maybe. She does write all her own songs, except "Breathe", which was written by....Jonghyun. (RIP) Maybe YG's refusing an extremely talented girl like her an album because she refuses to join his illuminati clan or give him hanky panky under the table. Yeah. I'm going with that and taking that adorable song and music video to the grave.

I just finished up playing this game called FFXV and my uncle is berating me for liking it because it's "saturated in satanism". I get where he's coming from--the country the main characters are coming from is called Lucis and they call themselves Lucians (made for a funny moment when in the DLC one character yells "I'm not a [redacted for spoilers], I'm a Lucian!"), and the MC is supposed to "bring back the light to Lucis", but at the same time Lucian/Lucis/Lucifer are all Latin names, and that's one of the big themes of the game is...Latin everything. Everyone has Latin names (I had no idea Cindy is a Latin name until this game!), there's a surplus of Latin chanting in the songs (that soundtrack is amazing btw), and I didn't really see too much Illuminati stuffs in game.

I mean, they also fight fake-Satan. His name is Ifrit. He looks like Pan, the satanic/occultic p***phile symbol. They kill him. He's one of their enemies. Kind of hard to say it's pushing illuminati stuff when one of the cast's enemies is Satan himself lol. Plus they also portray transhumanism/forcibly modifying infants/enslaving humans and abusing them as a horrible, horrible thing. I don't trust SE but I think I'll just nod and smile next time he berates me for gushing over best boy Ignis. Maybe it makes me bad for liking the game, but it's certainly not pushing hard for any particular narrative (at least in the Japanese dub--in the English dub, the writers gave a few lines that reek of political correctness, but thankfully it's only like two or three lines that I can ignore) except brotherhood and standing by your friends. Which is a fine narrative to push if you ask me.

Florence Welch confuses but fascinates me. On one hand she says things like "I love demons and witchcraft" but in the exact same sentence she says "I love angels and holiness and Jesus". I know many people are convinced she's a satanist/part of the illuminati but I watched a series that shows what celebrity's houses look like and she has an entire area dedicated to Jesus's mother, with crosses and everything--not upside down ones or desecrated ones either. Proper Christian crosses. Which actually puts me more at ease despite me being very anti-religion. (I'd much prefer the company of a Christian than a Satanist. She's not Christian, but it's clear she respects the religion and its symbolism.) I wonder if she's just interested in spirituality in general? Seems likely. I hope my analysis is correct and this isn't just for show. Plus she just gives me good vibes, like she may be often lost and confused spiritually or just in general but that she truly means no harm and wouldn't do anything horrible to anyone if she had the choice. I hope I'm right, I'm addicted to her music and I'm almost always right in my analysis of people/my intuition. Let's hope this isn't a blunder so I can enjoy her songs guilt-free lol
