Oh yes I remember that incident clearly, thanks for bringing it up! :) I also remember that even Korean people were puzzled bc they couldn't tell them apart and thought that it was like seeing the same person.Yes,the promoting of a same type of thinking is real, that's why k-idols look the same and even talk the same,it's like they share one single mind. It's not their fault though,I blame the companies for all this mess. It's like in Jonghyun's case, who became depressed bc he couldn't express his real emotions to the public.I think most of the idols especially those who were trainees at a young age sadly can't figure out who they truly are and which are their real personalities. They've been programmed and tutored for years on how to act and behave themselves and that made them unable to develop their own unique personality. If I recall correctly,I remember one time when Taemin admitted that he would tell many lies, the mc's asked him the reason behind that and he said that he doesn't truly know,it was something spontaneous bc he would feel like he should be telling only the things that public wanted to hear.(Something like this among the lines).I also witness the same type of thinking when it comes to fandoms, for example I really like Bts and V is my bias wrecker but unfortunately can't bring myself into becoming an Army bc their fandom consists of many immature fans who always try to bring people down by attacking them if they happen to have a different opinion on a specific matter and don't always agree with the Army 'norm'.For me it's not a fandom anymore,it's a cult.
You’ll find that in all fans though lmao.

Yes I know that but imo given the fact that their fandom is constantly growing cause of their international polularity, some things with the Army's became out of hand lately. Like I said,i have major respect for Bts and I love their songs,I just can't stand their fandom, take that as a matter of preference if you want :)

Remember when leeutuek did the following:
-Outted taeyeon and onew as having depression on his PUBLIC blog
- smashed a cake in boas face and refused to apologize after boa called him out on it. He also made fun of boa when shinee fans attacked her saying "you reap what you sow"
- provoked fandom fights between elfs and sones
- called suzy fat
Showed no signs of remorse and did not apologize for any of the actions above. Seems like he enjoys hurting others if you guys catch my drift.

Ehh.i don’t really think they’re worse than other fandoms but I guess it is a matter of preference. I’ve seen other fandoms do worse and it gets ignored time after time.

He also liked a professional athlete, and when she didn't respond to his overtures, he wrote he was snubbed and she thought she was too good to be friends with him. Fans sent hate mail to her email and mailing address, stalked her (parent's home) and basically ruined the peace for the woman and her family. Eventually he said it was all a joke, after she and her family spoke out to the media.

he's said that his father was abusive to his mother and has a messed up family life in general. Not excusing him at all - he carries those issues with him in dealing with other people and uses his fanbase very manipulatively.

There was a rumor that came out on a korean reporter show that Choa left after finding a boyfriend. She neglected her work and cared about her boyfriend more.
Was that the report that tracked her down, when she was vacationing w/her sister and a friend?

I am also really grateful for everyone sharing their opinion here and respecting the thoughts of the others. I knew something was wrong about K-Pop right after getting into it, but simply decided to ignore it (It started with Block B's "Very Good" and Bigbang's "Fantastic Baby").
Little by little many things started to bother me: the "fanservice" (e.g. Jongtae's Internet war), the satanic symbolism (nearly in every YG and SM performance),
the crossdressing, the abusive humor and maaany more BUT I was still listening to it.
I appeased myself often, saying that I would ignore the worst songs (like SHINee's Lucifer, Fantastic Baby, Coup D'etat, Monster, Mama, BST,...)
However, Jonghyun's death opened my eyes - I understood that I was playing with fire. After that I found this thread, as I really wanted to know if I was the only one thinking something was off about JH's death. It really feels good to know that many of you share my opinion and see even further. All the aspects you pointed out about BTS, Red Velvet, NCT, Mino, Ladie's Code and many more was really helpful. Not only groups from SM and YG are infiltrated but the whole industry.
You are great observers - let's keep up this work. Some people have already joined us and hopefully many will follow.

Ah, I have one question: I am really interested what group got you into K-Pop and the group you were/are into (until you stopped listening to it). I would also like to know when/ why you decided not to listen to K-Pop any more.
I will begin with myself:
When my sister introduced me to K-Pop with Beast and Block B, I simply laughed about it. However, that changed quickly and B.A.P and BIGBANG became my favorite groups at the beginning. I also listened to many others back then. Since last year (EDIT: it was 2016 - Happy New Year everyone :D) I became a Shawol (Jonghyun was my bias). (I have told you the rest already)

I was aware of korean entertainment, and then I got off to kpop via eventual friends who played non-stop korean r&b/hip hop - some pop and movies/tv shows, translating everything for me, etc until I became brainwashed...

Eventually became fans of actors and actresses, later turning to directors and producers. Music was... across the board - Rain/Bi, DBSK, Brown Eyed Girls, some Ga-In, Block B.... later (after jay park left) early stuff of 2pm, some GG, some Big Bang (I found GD/TOP collabs interesting) Shinee, NCT. I also liked OSTs from dramas & movies. For the pop acts, definitely Shinee, Hyori, Block B, NCT, and some DBSK. Musically I was more into korean indie/hip hop (esp since my friends introduced me to old albums from the artists when they were still underground)... like drunken tiger, honey family, even "Da Crew"...

on the k- indie hip hop side, I liked Drunken Tiger, Epik High, Quiett, Beenzino, (etc) mint paper project compilations, Overclass compilations, Minos... gee, a good portion of the known rappers who pop up in SMTM.... most of LeeSsang's albums, Double K, Swings, San-E before he signed w/jyp, Dynamic Duo, before Choiza got on the variety circuit and eyeing up Sulli. Plus, I also really liked Ali (Cho Yong Jin) - a vocalist who was featured on a lot of LeeSsang albums, and then, she said she was raped by a hoobae who she collaborated with.... Wonder who that was?

In short regarding your question, the music is all over the place ;) I haven't listened to anything recently. I haven't listened to anything western-related for ages.

Lay used to be my bias from exo, because he's seems like innocent person. But not, it was acting afterall. In his album called Sheep, there's song that he dedicate to his grandparent with the title I Need U. But in the same album there was song with the title Peach. Here's peach lyric:
Ooh baby baby you got a nice peach babe (I say)
Ooh baby baby I might I just wanna taste it

There's rumor that Exo chinese member still work as exo but for chinese market. There was a time when korean n chinese got a tension for some matter, so exo split their member like they're not related anymore. But Luhan with Lu song and Lay with Sheep album show off how sexual their lyrics. Exo always had that sexual songs too but not that explicit.
And look at Luhan Lu official video lyric, there was heavy symbolism inside.

I don't know much about chanyeol. What i know about him is, he's money lover, see his fans as stupid, easily fallin for girls and trying so hard to keep his innocent image by doing something funny.

Chanyeol n Sehun liking Rolex pictures in instagram, knowing their stupid fans will buy it for them. And yes they got their Rolex for free from fans, even though they rich enough to purchase it themself.

And when there was an uproar about Chanyeol follow Lily Maymac's instagram, he just casually said "i don't know why i'm following her" like yeah your fans will believe it tho.

I'm not hating on them, but they were all rich enough to buy anything, yet they trying to make their fans buying every expensive things around. Even tho some of fans had to took a debt on bank to buying their idol anything.
thats eerie, I didn't knows these things about exo, if its true, they are just bunch of greedy, thanks for the info

may be in case of jungkook its not bad as chanyeol and sehun, he didn't liking it to make his fan buy it for them, if he returned the item back may be its inconsiderate as the fans has put effort to give it to him
but anyway, I think me and most of kpop fans like to think that celebrities are innocent which is not obviously in many cases

I forgot to mention about the dream. Yes i had a dream long ago, when Boyfriend just debuted. I don't like them, but there's a night when i dream about one of the twin (i forget either youngmin or kwangmin but the one with dark hair color). And when i wake up, i fell in love with him although i don't know his name lol so i search up about the twin of Boyfriend. And this year after Zico's song with the title Anti came, i know something dark is in the mv and the song. They mocking about angel and light from heaven in the mv, so i just listen to it once. But when i wake up, that Anti song playing on and on in my mind like weird i just played it one time. It's like inviting me to listen to that song again. Well if that's how the devil working, then i refuse to do it.
I am interested to know more about dreams, and whats up with those love dreams with celebrities, I keep having these things and would like to know the reasons, it can even pop up from nowhere

They made them wear lipstick with such a strong colour. At this point it is just mocking men and making them more and more gay. I'm disgusted...

The full MV of TRCNG is out as well abundant in symbols: horns, becoming wolves. moon, blood, one eye, etc.

One of the things that is left to be promoted in kpop MVs is cannibalism. Almost everything else has been done before.
It was touched in Orange Caramel - Catalena and Boa - Eat you up (as a metaphor apart from the sexual context as well).
Red velvet may have actually feasted on the pizza boy in Peek a boo. Cannibalism is also shown as there are many more pizza boys killed by them and where are the bodies they probably ate them up?

I guess it's all perspective. I don't see any member "attacking" anyone, unless they're writing something about you personally. That said, you've only been here a week and they don't know you so I don't know what they'd really say about you. They may disagree with what you have to say, or have expressed, but I don't see that as an attack. On a forum, you're going to have people that disagree with you, and that's all good. So long as people remain respectful to the person behind the computer screen and keyboard, variances of opinions will arise when discussing things on a forum.

In the end, just agree to disagree.
You shouldn't even have to explain that. It's clear many here didn't want an actual discussion, but rather a bunch of yes men agreeing with each other. Well, i'm a bit more open minded, and sensible, than that. I have no interest in taking part in glorified gossip, which is part of the reason I left this worn out thread.
