Why is religion so anti-LGBTQ

I never wrapped my mind around it, but I never understood why being gay or having a sexual orientation far from straight was bad.

How is it an evil spirit possessing one to become that way if they are simply loving someone of the same-sex? And why does God condemn them to hell for it?

Please help me. I feel like we were conditioned to be this way. It's not like p***philia. But gay is not a disease or a crime. Its simply just a harmless sexual orientation.

Like I'm not a bi Christian, but id be deeply depressed 24/7 with the idea of me burning in Bell simply because of my sexual orientation, I'm tired of Christians acting like one can't be a true Christian if ur gay/bi and Christian, why should God exclude a Christian for them liking someone of the same/sex etc etc...

God condemns same sex relations as abomination, a crime deserving of death. Why does He? Because of His divine sovereignty. As the eternal ground of Righteousness, and the ultimate bell-weather of Justice, He must be absolutely correct.

I think it's also important to recognize that God holds a wrathful view of fornication in general, as well. Sex unsanctioned by marriage is sin, but men and women turning in lust to their own, leads you into the kind of enmity with God, where eventually He gives you over to the reprobate mind cited in Romans. Once you are reprobate silver, rejected by God, and refusing Him into your heart and mind, there's no coming back.

Soo... are you bothered by people's opinions or your own biblical research? You mentioned demonic possession (?), but you didn't really specify beyond this.

Though most believe it was strictly the result of "same-sex" relationships, it should be noted the offenses in those cities went well beyond fornication-- a term which also applies to the infidelity of following other gods.

It isn't a story of gay triumph in the church.
