Russia and the United States, which both could have vetoed the much-delayed measure as permanent members of the council, abstained, meaning it passed with 13 votes in favor.

The United Nations Security Council voted on Friday to approve a resolution that "demands" all sides in the Israel-Hamas conflict allow the "safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance at scale."

I’m skeptical. Even if this has been passed, how can we trust that aid and humanitarian assistance will actually reach everyone? Roads and infrastructure have been destroyed. Which channels will they use to deliver the aid and assistance? The last ceasefire all we saw were a handful of aid trucks and the IDF shooting civilians who tried to return to the rubble of their destroyed homes in an attempt to salvage their possessions.

Not sure why Russia abstained.

As a Christian, I'm neutral because on the one hand there are the murderers of Jesus (Israelis), and the murderers of the WTC (muslim terrorists), so whose side should I be on?
Ummmmm...nope...reasearch "dancing israelis 9/11". This story came out right after the attacks on the WTC...then squashed...never to be heard again.

Also, ask why the Star of David graces the cover of the 9/11 Commission Report? Anyone??? When u understand what the Star of David represents, all will start to make sense.

In Revelation, these are the jews who call themselves jews...but are not jews, but the Synagogue of Satan. They r the Babylonian Talmudic jews...aka, Kabbahlist jews.

I'm speechless. What the hell was happening since Monday that this was the absolute best that they could come up with. It's a nothing resolution....absolutely nothing. No ceasefire call to allow this aid in...nothing. Basically it calls for aid and does nothing to stop the killing. Feed them and continue to kill them...

You can read the full text here supplied by the times of Israel Full Text.

I think Russia abstained because they were raging at how much it was watered down.

From the BBC

"Russia has again criticised the draft resolution, accusing the US of playing an “underhanded game” by not doing more to restrain Israeli operations in Gaza.
Ambassador Vasily Alekseyevich Nebenzya said that the resolution is, in Russia’s view, a “licence for Israel to kill Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”

“This is a tragic moment for the council…one of unprincipled blackmail,” he added.
Nebenzya said Russia would have vetoed the resolution if it “weren’t supported by a number of Arab states.”

And did anyone see that odious creature that represents the U.S...firstly she didn't know what she was voting for...raised her hand for and then put it down then raised her hand again when it was asked for abstentions.

Then she was first to speak after the vote and said something along the lines of "it was tough but we got there"...ffs

Reported in the guardian

The International Rescue Committee has released the following statement on the passage of the UN security council resolution regarding aid delivery into Gaza:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) welcomes the demands for immediate, safe and unhindered humanitarian access through all available routes to Palestinians throughout Gaza, for international humanitarian law to be upheld and for the unconditional release of hostages contained in UNSC Resolution 2720. These are prerequisites for relief of the humanitarian suffering.
However, with more than 20,000 Palestinians killed and latest food insecurity numbers showing unprecedented threat of starvation in Gaza, much more is clearly needed…
We reiterate that the only way fully to protect Palestinian lives, enable a sufficient humanitarian response, and offer the best chance of hostage release, is to stop to the fighting. From a humanitarian point of view, the failure of the UNSC to demand an immediate and sustained ceasefire is unjustifiable.

UN secretary general, António Guterres

I hope that today’s security council resolution may help improve the delivery of much-needed aid but a humanitarian ceasefire is the only way to begin to meet the desperate needs of people in Gaza and end their ongoing nightmare,” Guterres said on social media.
“Many people are measuring the effectiveness of the humanitarian operation in Gaza based on the number of trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent, the UN and our partners that are allowed to unload aid across the border. This is a mistake,” the secretary general told reporters.
“The real problem is that the way Israel is conducting this offensive is creating massive obstacles to the distribution of humanitarian aid inside Gaza.
