By trusting in God first of all because if you place your trust in what you're gonna eat, then for sure it is just a creature which cannot benefit you in any other way except however God Wills it to.

If i may add, if ever i find myself without any food, i just keep reminding myself constantly that with or without food, truly it is only God Who Really Has The Power to quench my hunger/thirst, the food/liquid being only a means to satisfy it.

If only people could realize that God Is The Sustainer and The Owner of everything, Who Doesn't Depend on any means to Create any ends, i'm sure we would worry less about materialism and more about spirituality. Back on topic though, i tend to fast sometimes and find it a good way to stay healthy.

Iam a pretty picture of health, thank God iam not afflicted by any debilitating illnesses. Nevertheless, i hate disease, aging and death! I come up with 14-day regimens to arrest the 3 monsters. So what i eat first thing in the morning is a big deal. I've tried 2-carrots regimen and got fab results. My must haves are: lots of lemons, cinnamon (plumps the skin, is a blood thinner and aids digestion) and baking soda, which I drink every now and then to raise my pH. I also boil mango tree leaves and drain out the liquid that i drink first thing in the morning. Its a great detoxifier and aids digestion, although i get very very hungry. I don't drink alcohol, smoke nor do drugs. My weaknesses are soda (aspartame) and other processed foods. So i have to be careful and not take any soda during my 14days because the preservative-sodium benzoate- combines with vitamin c to form a carcinogen. 8 weeks ago, i started growing mint. I intially wanted to grow peppermint but its hard to find in the market.

Nice tips KS! Mango leaves - nice! You must live somewhere tropical...

first: think healthy, positive thoughts, no knee-jerk self-diagnosis.
second: eat healthy, i.e. fresh produce, no GMO, no processed foods, no junk food, lots of water. the VC has another thread with some ancient foods key to healthy living. check it out.
thirdly: common sense, we all know what needs doing to live a healthy life, it's not rocket science. everything in moderation.

I'm also a huge tea drinker, all sorts of wonderful herbal teas from across the world, and might I add, fresh mint in tea is like the best thing ever! Fresh mint in anything is like the best of the best, full stop! Haha ^__^
Yes, it is amazing! I'm impatiently waiting for my little peppermint patch to get big enough to harvest for tea.

How do you keep yourself and your family healthy?
a short list, which i am always changing and adding to, as i learn...

consumption:
distilled water if not actually 'from the ground' spring water. the distilled water i buy immediately gets transferred to a stainless steel bottle to avoid the BPA residue as best as i can. that is the only time i drink something that was from a plastic container.
yogurt every day, or at least a probiotic food.
try to stay on the 80% raw / 20% cooked regimen. i dump turmeric with unrefined coconut oil + black pepper on all cooked food (pepper helps the absorption of vitamins)
salt water flushes whenever i can.
morning supplement: vitamineral green/vitamineral earth after nascent iodine. take magnesium citrate.
heavy doses of vitamin c/ascorbic acid (6 to 8 g)
nothing out of a can or anything processed. (use only glass, stainless steel, or copper)
nothing from china (consider every food item there tainted)
never any "natural flavors". not only could it be MSG, it could also be castoreum-- beaver anal gland extract. ill pass on that.
no HFCS (dont need the gmos or the mercury); no gmos (dont need the GM genes combining with my own in my body)
no food that has been genetically modified (too risky for me)
try to grow my all own food
never iodized salt-- only himalayan salt or black salt.
never any meat (too risky + ethical problem w/it) another factor: consumption of negative energy (b/c animal died panicking)
add 'crystal energy' to increase water absorption (dr flanagan)

life:
no cell phone
avoid extremely loud noises (i expect a wave of hearing problems with kids in the future who blast their music in their cars)
avoid wifi when possible
no smart meter
use activated charcoal for health remedies
occasionally listen to solfeggio frequencies
i swirl my water to energize it (i firmly believe it has an effect)
"charge" my water/food with orgonite and pyramids
try to do grounding when i can each day
NEVER wear polyester/plastic clothes (you can find 100% cotton socks on amazon)
brush with a mishwak (natural toothbrush)
natural soap
started using soapberries for detergent (works great)
have some yogurt/dairy product before bedtime (the lactobacillus overruns the other bacteria in your mouth so you wont get cavities)
use aluminum free deodorant
spend time being with animals each day. (no facts to back this up-- i personally think its beneficial and stress reducing)
dogs get raw meat often
none of my animals get vaccinated
dont swim in swimming pools

I think it's important to vaccinate animals, can't have a rabid dog running about in the streets

I cannot advise people enough to use aluminium free deodorant. I had my lymph nodes swell and was in pain for about a month. I eventually listened to my mum's advice and started to use an aluminium free deodorant. Literally the swelling disappeared in a day or so. I went to the doctor and they just palmed me off and said I probably had a chest infection.

They will never admit aluminium deodorants cause lymph node swellings which can be quite dangerous over a prolonged usage of these cancerous deodorants so please refrain from buying them!

Here are a few recommendations of aluminium free deodorants:

I've been using them for years now and they're great.
