Acrually I take that back, there’s a 75% chance you’ve raped someone.

Currently we have leftist child murder, normalization of p***philia and child sexualization, antifa/blm riots, legalized robbery and lawlessness, CRT open racism, election fraud, forced experimental vaccines, mass oppressive censorship against any right-leaning voice, MSM lies, crime and violence completely out of control...

... but somehow the U.S. is becoming a theocracy, according to you.
The greater the sin of a nation, the more they resent the idea of a theocracy. The thing is, there are only two biblical examples of theocracy - the Jews under the OT law and the future millennial reign of Jesus.

In the meantime, when man governs man (even in countries governed by legislation based on the Bible) there is a distinction between permissible and ideal morality. The law of the state forms an “outside” set of standards for reasonable conduct, but the height of the legal bar is not set on any particular religion. The Christian faith introduces God’s “inside” standards - the condition of the heart and the supremacy of love as a cardinal standard (1 Corinthians 13).

I say this because I just read the most moronic thing on Facebook (I won’t name the author)..

“The United States is a white supremacist, misogynist misery of genocide, oppression and corporate-fueled culture war that is so hell-bent on taking power and wealth that it is steadily stripping the rights of everyone, and impoverishing the majority of the population, remaking it into a dystopian evangelical Christian corporate feudalism… don’t even have a name for it,
The antidote, as far as I can tell, is local organizing, local communities, with national and international communication and learning, and a steady fuel of love, hope and resistance.
Oh, and white people and men especially disrupting the status quo, talking to other white people and other men. Not from a savior complex, but because women and people of color have already been fighting and organizing for a long time, and we need traitors to the culture to edge the power-holders out of the trauma-fueled controlling fear reactions.
The good news is that no empire has ever lasted, and that there are so many, many, many of us doing incredibly good things on a daily basis, more than can be counted.
In this moment, though, I just want to break things.”

There may come a point in the future where those who represent the hated “Judao-Christian” standards are no longer around, leaving these activists to live in the world they campaigned for. At this point of apparent victory, I suspect the progressives of all stripes will enjoy the fruit of moral relativism and secularism far less than they imagined.

It’s the noise of the righteous dogma that hides the hand maids tale
I will not waste my time arguing over abortion because if the last 2yrs have taught us anything, it’s that the crisis presented to the masses is always just a means to an end but if you are posting this to buttress your argument that the Handmaid’s Tale was predictive programming (which I also believe it to be), this is the setting…

"The world is suffering from infertility, and the founders of Gilead use the example of godly intervention due to uholy behaviors in modern society, especially women who have denied their god given ability to bear children by commiting sacrilegious acts such as using birth control and having pregnancies aborted. Excessive pollution causing climate change is also indicated as an underlying factor for the drastic change in fertility.

Little is known how other countries cope with this, but in the tv show, it is strongly implied that other countries are attempting to obtain Handmaids directly from Gilead via trade agreements, or at least learn from the culture that has created them to try to enforce some sort of similar child-bearing role on their own fertile population. Offred pleas with Ambassador Castillo, the mexican abassador, begging her to take heed of her words, saying her and the other handmaids have not chosen this life and are being held against their will to be used in sexual servitude. However, Ambassador Castillo responds telling Offred "I am from Xipica. There hasn't been a child born alive in Xipica in six years. My country is dying." Later in the same episode, when June is talking with her friend and close confidant, fellow handmaid Alma, the conversation leads to the fact that Alma has overheard conversations from her commander indicating Gilead was making trade agreements including Handmaids as products for export."

So I’ll ask again, as I did on page 1: retaining or overturning Roe v Wade, what is it going to matter in the face of wide spread infertility? Don’t you think people are being purposefully outraged over something that’s going to be irrelevant down the line? Again, while people are up in arms, pieces are being moved into place that have nothing to do whatsoever with the event that set them into motion.

THE FOURTH BATTLE FOR THE CONSTITUTION
The latest struggle to define America's founding charter will define the country for generations to come.

"In the next few years, many Americans understand, the Supreme Court may provide answers to some of the most hotly contested questions of constitutional law—the scope of affirmative action and federal power, for example, or the future of Roe v. Wade. What fewer recognize is that if the balance of the current Court changes, the settlement of these questions will not be part of the ordinary stream of decisions, but will instead represent the culmination of a more fundamental battle over the Constitution that has been waged since the New Deal era, one whose outcome could define American government and politics for many decades to come.

This is not the first battle over the Constitution in American history, but the fourth. All four battles have concerned the nature and scope of federal power in balancing the values declared to be self-evident in the Declaration of Independence: liberty, equality, and popular sovereignty. In this sense, the fourth battle echoes the three earlier battles and encapsulates the unique status of the Constitution in American life as the one document that both divides and unites us."

No it’s not predictive programming just a TV show. However it is similar enough to the society that evangelicals and tradcaths want. That part is accurate enough to make comparisons.

Sure there are fertility problems but even post-Covid there hasn’t been a dent in world wide birth rates. I don’t see en masse infertility happening anytime soon.

Oh, so you are waiting for the MSM to splash the infertility headlines just so you can believe it? Give it 6months to year, i promise you'll see the headlines. In the meantime, from May 2021 (originally posted here in the covid thread)

So, goodluck to all those in the streets fighting for their abortion rights/R v W....energy & emotions well-spent i suppose.

Like all your predictions over the years it won’t come true either. By the end of the century is a long ways off and declining birth rates isn’t terrible anyway. A lot less suffering with less births.

I agree. They will enjoy it for a time... until one by one they become the hated, the canceled, and the hunted themselves. There is no way to the top of the progressive power structure other than destroying and betraying everyone else around you.

Actually, you ask a very interesting question…

Just before I ceased being a person who exchanged evenings for time spent on a gaming console, I played Assassins Creed. Recently, it has struck me that the “creed” makes a very concise summary of the relativistic, postmodern worldview…

If “nothing is true, everything is permitted” then the only real “sin” is to suggest the particular moral and intellectual position you hold is “true” whilst regarding its opposite as false.

I was also intrigued by the message a Harvard psychologist gave to educators the same year as the Roe vs Wade decision was enshrined…

In 1993 Michael Weisskopf characterised Evangelical Christians as “largely poor, uneducated and easy to command." This condescending attitude seems to be a staple of the new Woke orthodoxy. Contra to that position, the Bible scathingly asserts that the fool (moron) says in his heart “there is no God”.

Whilst it may be a countercultural statement, I would say that “Some things are true, not everything should be permitted”. If that confirms Michael Weisskopf’s assessment of me, so be it.

All statements are true in some sense, false in some sense etc
