To see him like he is now is just sad. He looks very unhappy...that company/industry took his spirit away!

Yup, jm did this in a clip I posted a little while ago on here. It's like he's being instructed to do the fanservice behind the camera. I remember a behind run episode where they were surrounded by legit 100 staff. In the episode it looked like it was just them outside on a bench eating together and reminiscing. And speaking of that..the group is so awkward now that they just repeat the same stories on camera of their early yrs and never anything of the present. If a member says they're into something or went somewhere none of the other members know what they're talking about. It's like the only time they speak to each other is on camera for a paycheck.

but yup i'm on the same page as you. you know, jmn seems self-aware, but after seeing some vids from his past i'm not really sure who he is or how he actually thinks. i hope he is aware that some aspects of his reality are not ok, but with knowledge comes pain and frustration (look at t*e).

I'm pretty sure h0pe was really behind that comment on weverse cuz he always talks of not being good looking,I think someone at the company really got into his head about his looks to bring it up so much

it's kind of sad, but everyone brings his appearance up :/ even the members. being compared to a horse never feels like a compliment.

Jimn also seems to suffer from low self esteem and jk keeps mutilating his body which might reference him taking back his body cuz others had control of his body for so long

fr, gender roles s*ck. a female can be feminine and still be assertive in ways she chooses to be - some even go as far as p*gging their partner if the partner is cool with that. a man can look pretty in a femme way and still be the dominant in a mlm relationship. conversely, a buff man could want to be the one that's held instead. and so on.. the combinations are endless. humans are complex creatures.
maybe these shippers are literally 13 lmao and can't fathom any ship existing outside this weaker*=sub/f, stronger=dom/m trope.

edit: weaker-LOOKING; i add this because i'm sure a kick from black-belt jmn could knock tf out of anyone

he was my bias too. jmn was the bias breaker.
anyways, i also think t*e losing his only source of unconditional love and support (grandma) made him simmer down a bit. which tbh - him reacting like that wasn't/isn't a bad thing per say; it's almost expected. when stuff like that happens of course people change. HOWEVER, hyve not letting his properly grieve this loss pushed him over the edge.
also, I honestly think he was acting before - he felt like he needed to be more out there to fit a role and/or get attention in a 7-member group. that boxy grin looked forced many a time.

there's a theory re:t*e based on observations, etc that i've grappled with for years.. how do i share this? hmmm.. let me just say that his manager when he was younger could have done things to him that he's tried to suppress/forget ever since. I remember him saying in an interview that there are things from his past that he'll never share with others.

So true...and so sad...

...it's hard to choke back my tears for Tae...

I first saw him in "Hwarang" and was so charmed by his bubbly, childlike spirit... I thought back then that it must've been because of him that betees was "famous..."

...but the group didn't really appeal to me...I only thought that Tae stood out because he's exremely gorgeous...

Anyways...hope still springs eternal...for Tae and the rest...

T*e was never my bias oddly enough. My bias was jn pretty early on. Then jk sneaked in there somehow and became a sorta 2nd bias after I saw his Begin stage lol.

But yeah I always had a soft spot for t*e. And I know what you mean about him acting. I think there was still life in his eyes back then though and now it's as if it's been snuffed out. The theory you had about his manager I could see as being true. I think similarly to you that horrible things happened to the group but esp. the maknae line. I think they were abused, taken advantage of, and yes pr0stituded out. Their behavior now to me shows they were victims of yrs of abuse. The one thing I grapple with is whether what some say on here is true..that the abused have now become the abuser and b*s are doing the same things that were done to them.

yea they're right in that t*e is not copying sh*t. you know why? not bc t*e is a pioneer genius or whatever. but because everything is decided by their concept/marketing/styling team(s).

also would not be surprised if t*e gets an actual tattoo ala jaykay. again not bc he's copying him but bc their management would want him to for an image change/revamp. marketing-wise, we can't have another "bad boi" (jaykay's got that covered lmao). that'd be a total no-no; armees won't stand for repeats. but there's definitely space in this group of 7 for the "cultured dark academia tarot reading mystical - sometimes savage - edgelord". i wonder if we'll see t*e in less grandpacore from now on.

Yes...inner personalities can be totally different from what's "projected" outside...

I've seen some vlives of Jm with Jeykey, where Jeykey really looks the alpha male...but Jm "played" the hyung card and he was really dominant...even instructing Jeykey what to do...

I guess no matter how Jeykey tries to look "tough" with all his muscular glory...he is still the maknae of the group...and he must obey his hyungs...haha...

right! it's such a korean culture taboo to be rude to your sunbaes. jaykay tries sometimes lol, but he's probably put in his place immediately ..or off camera. if anyone in that group has power, it's for sure not him.
