I watched VVitch, the most boring thing ive seen. Its one thing to watch the neverending story and another to watch things like this :View attachment 982
I love that movie. It fits right in with the classics of the late '60s and 1970s (Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Omen, etc.) Plus, Black Phillip is an iconic horror character. Evil never looked so adorable. Its one thing to watch the neverending story and another to watch things like this :View attachment 982
That's one hectic movie omg!!Not really. But I tend to avoid the whole gore/torture genre. Like I'll watch "The Hills Have Eyes" if nothing else is on.
For me "scared" is the incorrect word. I was not scared while watching that type of movie, but afterwards and for several days I felt like things were watching me and that my thought patterns were darker. If so, that is crazy. I've been watching them all my life and am not corrupted. The Neverending Story and Return to Oz being the first. Yagh! I am dangerous.
But I DO see their truly magical propaganda. As an adult I can question these things.
You're crazy!I watched VVitch, the most boring thing ive seen.
Yes, I know people like huge, extravagant special effects with big stars. But I really don't think it's necessary to spend $100-300 million on a movie. It seems like a bit of a waste. Those are the kinds of movies I tend not to watch. Big budget blockbusters with A-list celebrities don't do much for me. I'd rather watch a movie with mostly unknowns and maybe one star.I'm also genuinely disturbed by Michael Bay's 'Transformer' movies. I think that much money, time, marketing and effort put into something so ultimately worthless should be a crime against humanity. Imagine the lives that could have been saved if all that work and capital was put toward something benign.
I loved Alien, loved the aesthetics. But I like H.R Giger anyway. The movie which scared me the most is probably Alien. I was twelve maybe when I watched it, alone, in the dark. That was shocking. But I loved it. And I still do. That is what most of the movies today are lacking: tension and not showing everything, which makes tension as well.
The Excorzist and The Omen are also very good movies to me. Movies today are mostly working with those super fast cuts and the camera is movin the whole time from one side to the other, up and down. That's how you hide bad special effects. Scares me none.
