IMG_3297.PNG Anybody suffering with gingivitis or bad breath, tea tree mouthwash is great. I used it over Ramadan so my co workers didn't die after I spoke, fasting makes the breath whiffy to say the least.

I still use it and replaced my usual Corsodyl mouthwash.

Table salt for teeth and gums. It's not exactly a secret, but still people pay a ton of money for overpriced mouthwash. That is also made from sodium. Unless they are alcohol based, which just aren't nearly as good.
I'd say to try popcorn salt. The finer grind is still effective, but less abrasive to the enamel.

Someone know a good cure for a throat/sinus infection?

I've had one for the past week and it's quite harsh, lost my voice today. I am already using a lot of honey, but is there anything else out there that helps?
Ask God to Cure you because we may have the best of medicines but If He Does Not Will the cause to generate the effects, they never will.

God Bless and i would say God Loves you because you're kinda suffering and suffering is nothing but expiation for sins or upgrade of status.

make tea with turmeric root, ginger root, and lemon - add the honey - drink every hour or as you can handle it and the symptoms subside. Also gargle with turmeric powder, sea salt or pink salt and warmwater - every 15 minutes. make a steam with those ingredients too and breathe them in or try using a neti pot for your sinuses

Recently I've discovered fenugreek diluted with 2 parts water soothes severely irritated dry skin. Those with eczema or psoriasis may benefit from the relieving of tight skin and cracked pores so they won't itch as intensely as usual.

It does have a high level of pungency but it works and a little essential oil may take off the edge of the strong smell.

I found the parabens in most dry skin creams irritated our skin, hence the seeking of a natural and safer remedy

Anyone have any natural remedies for common medical issues they'd like to share?
Is that fenugreek powder?

honey is great plain but never heated. i would recommend fresh ginger made into tea...just peel and chop and boil it with water it will help a lot i promise.

No fenugreek seeds, I warn you it's quite a pungent curry smell, even if you dilute it in water and apply to your skin you will smell of curry and I wasn't a fan of that, but it worked so well for us

Hope it works for you
Not for me...for my 19yr old daughter who has excema.....the curry smell will be a very hard sell... But desperation may drive her to it.:) So do you put the fenugreek seeds in hot water or cold? do you mix to a paste with a pestle, or just kind of put the lumpy seeds and water mix on you? this is all probably totally obvious to anyone who knows, but I am still trying to get my head around it :)

We discussed this elsewhere and in the old forums but hope this info helps.
I have found that black seed oil is good for many skin conditions that are fungal (not from allergies).
I also use the oil as an mouthwash because it is antibacterial.
I add black seed powder to my drinks sometimes as well.

Black seed oil has many benefits but for my son's eczema it didn't do much :(

Oh bless her I really hope it helps her I know how hard it is to deal with the irritation it causes

You need a jar or bottle, I find jars to be easier to clean so I'd recommend that plus you can store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Fill the jar up to a quarter with fenugreek seeds. They should be dry and smell strong, the stronger the smell the better the quality of the seeds so really try and look for a decent batch. I get mine from a local market trader who sells spices...

After pouring the seeds in, add some room temperature water and fill it just below the jar. I use an empty jam jar, they're usually about 350ml jars but you can use any size you'd like. Since the batch lasts 2 weeks I don't make and store too much or it'll go to waste.

Close the jar and give it a good shake until you see the water has turned cloudy, leave it in the fridge for about an hour or so, take out the jar and just check the mixture has combined. You'll see the seeds gather at the bottom sometimes but that's fine, just shake it well before you use mixture.

For application, grab a cotton wool pad and dab the fenugreek water onto the pad. Apply it generously onto the affected area and don't wash it off for a while. Few hours later wash it off in the shower since.

Hope that helps! I personally noticed a difference in my son after 5 days and eventually the eczema just wore off
