Ladies code(hate you) and VIXX(voodoo doll) showed more disgusting voodoo dolls, which is a form witchcraft in their mvs, but they are nowhere near popular groups; moreover getting banned for showing violence
SBS2's Music Bank, MBC's Show! Music Core, and KBS's Inkigayo have all decided to prohibit VIXX from performing their live for their recently released track Voodoo Doll.

But what fans saying:
"It confuses me why Wheesung's song was banned for the lyrics "Love is delicious" while miss A's new song 'Hush' has a line that says, "You're more delicious than a lollilollilollipop", which hasn't been caught yet; Does the ministry ban songs as they please.. What are the standards?"
"So these guys can't do it but Troublemaker's choreography is okay? "
"Why is it okay for girl groups to shake their butts in revealing clothes and Troublemaker to perform their choreography but not VIXX? What are the standards? "
You see where it leads to, anything is possible if you please and f*** hard $ugar d@ddies. Blackpink has "Icecream" and Red velvet has extremely sensual song, eg icecream cake where lyrics goes like this--
Please give me that sweet taste, ice cream cake
With a flavor that fits this special day
The ice cream that’s on my mouth
Makes your heart pound and you'll come to me
It’s so tasty come and chase me
I can't hold it in
I scream, you scream
Gimme that, gimme that, ice cream
Pops, it's melting in my mouth, putting so much in
That it'll feel like my mouth is melting down
Honestly I don't think it's related to symbolism in their mvs and songs there are plenty of groups who use dark symbolisms in their mvs but they don't make it big at the end of the day it's all about business, marketing and investment. M1ss A are from a big company that's why they didn't face as much backlash as Vixx which are from a smaller company.
Bt5 and black p1nk made it big because they are more marketable towards the west
These are the factors in my opinion which made bt5 big
1- They had a strong social media presence since their rookie days
2- their mvs and songs even though they did not contain heavy symbolisms before bst were about rebellion against society e.g no more dream was a criticism of sk education system. Satan loves Chaos and breaking of social norms in the occult breaking social taboos is considered one of their favourite tasks. That's why you see these campaigns today encouraging people to be "different" do something that "defies cultural norms".
3- They had a sob story and the west loves sob stories plus Hyb3 keeps marketing them as victims who fought against a system that favours the rich and privileged groups in an increasingly liberal western society with high levels of income inequality this message was more appealing to the young people in America
4- They were known as a self produced group another thing that appeals to the west.
5- Hyb3's slogan "Music and artists for healing" was also appealing to western countries as they are obsessed with "meaningful music full of propagandas"
6- All of them are irreligious or atheist and their concepts after bst were based on literature/scientific theories in favor of atheism
7- They are mediocre in terms of actual singing and dancing talent which makes them less of a threat to western artists.
8- They make radio friendly music with easy choreographies and even when they make interesting music it is backed by some liberal pseudo intellectual lyrics about "self love" or "self actualization"
At the end of the day it's more about marketing than occultic symbooisms Red velvet isn't as popular as Black P1nk or Twice because 5m sucks at marketing despite red velvet having more dark symbolisms in their mvs same reason why x-0 didn't blow up
